Jack kissed Mark's knuckles as he realized they had pulled up to a graveyard. "You don't have to do this if it's going to be too hard for you." Jack told his boyfriend, looking over at him. "Love, I'm serious." Mark looked over at the younger, shaking his head lightly.
"No, I want to. I always wanted the love of my life to meet him, and that hasn't changed. This is my opportunity." Mark opened his car door. "Come on, love." Jack sighed before opening his door.
Mark and Jack's fingers intertwined, and Mark kissed his temple lightly as they walked.
Mark led Jack to his father's grave, stopping a few feet from it. "Mark-"
"Don't ask me to leave, Jack. Please." Mark whispered, looking over at him."I really want to do this." Jack nodded, looking back at the grave. He watched as Mark walked towards it, sitting down in front of it.
"Hi, dad. I brought someone with me today. It's been a while since we last talked." Jack smiled as Mark put his hand out behind him. He looked back at Jack.
The younger grabbed his hand before sitting beside him. "I wish you could talk back. I miss you a lot. More than you would ever believe." Mark spoke quietly. He stopped for a minute, looking down at their hands.
Mark and Jack didn't come back to the house for hours. Jack sat and listened to Mark talk to his dad as long as he wanted.
