"Dipper? Dipper, wake up!" Mabel urged, shaking Dipper by the shoulder.

He'd been tossing and turning, murmuring things about "slayers", "kills", telling people to "run away".

"DIPPER!"

Dipper's eyes snapped open and he sat up with a jolt, a hand on his non-beating heart. He panted heavily as his gaze flickered around the cave.

"It's ok, it's me. You're with me, Mabel!" she told him. Her hair lightly brushed Dipper's cheek as she embraced him.

Dipper sighed in relief.

"Thank god.....just a dream" he breathed.

"You were asleep for AGES! I tried waking you up about an hour ago, but you kept yelling in your sleep, all kinds of weird things" she explained, Dipper looking a little puzzled.
"W-what sort of weird things?" Dipper asked, rubbing his tired eyes.

"About slayers and how we had to run, to get rid of them and stuff. What are slayers?" Mabel asked innocently.

Dipper sighed.

"Slayers are.....very dangerous people who are out to kill creatures like us off, or we get captured and auctioned by them at the best of times. I've been having these weird dreams lately, but there's a feeling I have about them. What if we confront slayers in the future? What if Mom and Dad get caught by them? what will happen? I can't let that happen to us. If anything happens to them or you, I'll never, EVER forgive myself!" Dipper exclaimed, hugging his legs and looking down at the floor.

"You're all I have, sis." he whispered, blood red tears falling from his eyes.

Mabel looked sad, wrapping her wings around Dipper as she comforted him softly.

"You're all I have too, bro-bro. I feel so lost without you. If you weren't by my side, I don't know what I'd do. Be lonely, I guess, haha-" she let out a half-hearted laugh. "-Anyhowzers, it'll be ok. You'll see. I promise!"

Dipper wiped his eyes.

"I promise too, sis. Mystery Twins?"

"Mystery Twins"

with that, they both fistbumped, Mabel crawling in next to Dipper with her blankets over the both of them, the siblings talking quietly to each other, enjoying one another's company until night fell once again.
