RODERICKS P.O.V
We all got out of the car and walked into the pack house. When we walked in, Anne’s scent hit me and it drove my wolf crazy. No stop it! I told my wolf. She’s pathetic and will never be my mate.
“Roderick!” Luke shouted.
“What?”
“I think you should see this.” He said and handed me a piece of paper. It was from Anne. Every word I read on that note felt like a punch in the face. I felt numb and empty. She was gone. I stood there in shock starring at that paper in disbelief.
“Rod, you okay?” Darren asked. Without a word I handed him the paper. He read it.
“She’s…gone.” He mouthed.
“Wait, what’s going on?” Blake, another pack member asked.
“Anne…ran…a…aw…away.” I could barely speak.
This was my entire fault. I rejected her and she left. Every day I made fun of her and made her feel horrible. When I found out she was my mate, the cocky arrogant Alpha took over and thought she wasn’t good enough. My wolf will never be the same again. And she’s the Alpha’s mate! That means this pack wouldn’t have a Luna. I am a jerk, a cold hearted jerk. I told myself. I wanted to die. Being without my mate was bad enough but now I knew I hurt her, which killed me inside.
Everyone was in shock as well.
“This is my fault…” Darren said. “It’s all my fault, I was a crappy brother.”
“No, it’s all of ours.” Luke said. “We were all shitty to her.”
“We need to tell everyone about this.” Blake said.
“You’re right. Call everyone together for a pack meeting.” I said.
“Are you sure-“ Luke began
“NOW!” I yelled in my Alpha tone. They all left to get everyone else.
(At the pack meeting)
I looked around, and everyone was here, except Anne. I missed her so much already. The guilt is eating me alive. I didn’t feel like talking to the pack but as my duty of Alpha, I had to greet everyone. Darren, Blake and Luke were standing away from everyone. I saw Mark and his mate Tasha, Leo and his mate Melody, Nate and his mate Judy and Peter and his mate Heather all together. I hated seeing everyone with their mates and not having mine here with me. There were about 50 members in our pack so we had to wait for everyone. Once almost everyone was here I began speaking
“So, I don’t know if the words gone around or not but, Anne has left the pack.”
I heard many gasps around the room.
“She left us a note and her departure was due to the bullying some of us did to her. Everyone I’m sure is sorry for their actions, but now we have to try and find her. So if anyone hears, or has heard something about her whereabouts you will tell me.” I said in my Alpha voice.
“Yes oh great Alpha!” Brandon said sarcastically.
I ran towards him and grabbed him by the neck. No one talks to me like that, ever. “How dare you disrespect your Alpha like that! I can kick you out of this pack! I can have you killed! I can lock you up! So watch your mouth! AM I CLEAR!?” I roared.
“Y…yes…sir.” He trembled in fear.
“GOOD. Now meeting over.” I said and stormed out of the room. I ran out of the pack house and shifted into my massive black wolf. I sprinted into the forest I ran and ran, trying to get my anger out. I blamed myself for everything that happened. I could have been with her, I could have been happy! Why was I such an ass to her!? I will never forgive myself for this.
