“What’s up Alpha?” Chase asked.
“I want us to be better prepared if Melinda comes back, so we’re training. Roderick, your pack may join if you want or you can go.”
“I agree with you, Alpha Danny. We need some training, my pack is in.” Roderick said.
“Great, then let’s start. Alpha Roderick would you like to lead your pack in this or all of us as one?”
“How about we split everyone in 2 groups. One for attack and defense and one for physical training.”
“Sure. Anne, Darren, Grant, Nate and Billy can come with me. You can take the others.” Danny said full of authority that of course didn’t affect Roderick at all but he’d still listen.
So we all went to our groups, I was in Danny’s.
“Alright guys, for attack and defense, you will be fighting each other. Anne and Darren, Grant and Chase, and I’ll fight Billy. Got it?”
So we all went to our partners. I was a bit afraid of Darren so fighting him was going to be hard, but he was my brother he wouldn’t hurt me.
“Hey there little sister.” Darren said in an evil tone.
“You’re going down!” I yelled.
“We’ll see about that.” He said and lunged at me.
He was on me in seconds. I tried slipping away but it wasn’t working, so I bit him in the jaw. He rolled off of me as I got back on all 4s. I am playing a bit dirty here, because I knew Darren’s weak spot, besides the manhood area, was his jaw. He hated being hit there, I really have no clue why.
“Playing dirty?” Darren asked.
“Mhm.” I said and sprung at him.
I hit him and quickly got on top and he was snapping at my face. I dodged it and bit down on his shoulder. He yelped in pain and shifted.
“You won.” He said.
I smiled but didn’t shift back. I sensed something, someone watching.
Darren looked at me weird “Is everything okay?”
I shook my head.
“Danny,” I said through the mind link.
“What? Can’t you see in fighting here?”
“I sense something wrong.”
“Like?”
“I feel someone here.” I told him.
“Melinda?”
“I’m not sure.”
“Everyone, stop fighting and come back here!” He commanded to everyone in our pack. Nate and Mike didn’t return.
“NOW!” He said in Alpha tone. Still no one came back.
“What do you think happened?” Chase asked.
“Try contacting Roderick.” Grant told me.
“Roderick? Are you okay? Where are you? Answer me!”
“Nothing?”
“Nope.” I said. “Darren, try contacting your pack?”
“Already did, no response.”
“Dammit!” Danny yelled and then he froze.
“What is it?”
“I sense…someone…Melinda…” he whispered.
That’s when I fell to the ground. What? She’s back? She has my mate and my pack? My brother’s pack? This can’t be happening.
“What do we do?” Billy asked.
“We find her and kill her!” Chase said.
“ No.” I said.
“Why not? She has your mate!” Grant said.
“I know but, she’s Danny’s mate. What will happen to him if we kill her?”
“We are going back to the pack house and will discuss this there.” Danny said in Alpha tone.
We all ran back to the pack house and no one said anything on the way there.

I threw myself on the couch next to Danny and Darren.
“So what are we going to do?” I asked but just as I said that, the phone rang.
I picked it up. “Hello?”
“Hey there, Annie.”
“Who-“
“Shut up, you know who this is.” Melinda spat.
“Where’s-“
“I’m getting there!” She yelled.
I stayed quiet.
“Get what’s left of the two packs and meet us where you guys were training.” She said and hung up.
