Back To School (Part 1)

I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes, to see Danny.

“Hey, wake up.” He whispered.

“What time is it?” I asked still half asleep.

“6 A.M.”

“6?! Why did you wake me up?”

“It’s your first day of school.”

I had completely forgotten about school. I didn’t feel like going.

“Do I have to go? I hate school…I was bullied a lot at school.”

“It’s a new school and I’m not going to let anyone say anything to you. Okay?”

I believed Danny when he said he’d protect me but I was still a bit afraid of going.

“Fine.” I said quietly and stood up.  I went to my closet and pulled out some clothes and I heard Danny leave the room.

I grabbed a baby blue tank-top with a black vest and some black skinny jeans. I grabbed a towel and went to shower. I hated the idea of going back to school. School was a living hell for me. At least this time I had Danny, Grant, Nate, Mike, Chase and Billy there. I got out of the shower and got dressed and went down stairs. All the guys were in the kitchen eating.

“Hey Anne, want some scrambled eggs? I can make you some.” Grant said.

“No thanks.” I laughed and said.

“Think fast!” Billy yelled and threw a granola bar at me. I caught it instinctively.

“She’s got great reflexes.” Billy pointed out.

I smiled and unwrapped the granola bar.

After everyone ate, we all got into Danny’s car and drove to school.

Nate decided to turn on the radio.  Sexy and I know it by LMFAO came up and all the guys started singing along. I laughed and quietly watched them all try to do the wiggle in their seats.

Then came the worst part, when Nate tried doing a screamo version of the song, his screaming sucked.

“WHEN I WALK ON BY, GIRLS BE LOOKING LIKE ‘DAMN HE FLY’”

“Shut up!” Billy and Mike said.

“THIS IS HOW I ROLL, ANIMAL PRINT PANTS, OUTTA CONTROL!”

“Someone, please, kill him.” Danny said.

“I’M SEXY AND I KNOW IT!”

“Nope, you’re annoying and you show it.” Grant said. I laughed.

“WHEN I’M AT THE MALL-“he began but Chase put his hand over Nate’s mouth.

“Thank god for Chase!” Mike shouted. I laughed.

“C’mon guys his screaming wasn’t THAT bad.” I said. Then they all look at me like I was insane. Then Nate began laughing.

“She likes my screaming, but not Grant’s cooking! Hahaha! Take that Grant!”

“I see how it is, Anne. I see it.” Grant said.

Finally, we arrived at school. As we got out of the car, I got more and more nervous.

We all got out of the car and began walking towards the school. As we were walking a tall, blond girl approached us. She walked up to Danny, threw her arms around him and they kissed. Who was she?

“Get a room!” Mike yelled at them. They broke the kiss.

“Shut up, Mike.” The girl said. Then she looked at me.

“Who’s she?” she asked Danny. I could tell she didn’t like me.

“She’s Anne. The newest pack member.” Danny explained to her.

“You told me you were doing ‘Alpha stuff’ I didn’t realize she was a part of that.” I laughed to myself, someone’s jealous.

“Nothing is going on, Melinda.” Danny said calmly but I could tell he was annoyed.

“Whatever.” Melinda said and walked off.

“Who is she?” I asked.

“My mate.” Danny said and walked off.

“I think she hats Anne.” Nate said.

“Oooh, Mel’s jealous.” Grant said.

I laughed quietly and walked away.

I went to the office and picked up my schedule. First period was History.

I walked into the class and introduced myself to the teacher. It turns out Nate, Grant and Chase was in this class. I took a seat next to them and waited for class to start.

We ended up working on some worksheet and Chance and Grant copied mine. Nate was too busy flirting with some girls to even do the worksheet.

The bell rang and I walked off to my next class, which was Math. I walked into the class and saw I had it with Danny and Mike. When I walked in, they were in the back of the class sitting with 2 other guys. I didn’t want to interrupt so I sat up front.

When the bell rang I heard Danny call my name. I looked back and he motioned to come sit with them. So I got up and sat next to Danny.

“Anne, this is Zack and Ken. Guys, this is Anne, our newest pack member.”

I awkwardly waved and turned towards the teacher. I didn’t really listen to Danny, Ken, Mike, and Zack’s conversation; instead I began to think about my old school, my old pack and Roderick. I felt like crying and screaming. The memory of Roderick was painful; I kept hearing his voice in my head.

“What are you talking about?” I remembered him saying when he rejected me.

That painful memory kept flooding my thought and replaying in my head. I began crying and ran out of the room. Thankfully the bell had just rung so no one thought anything of me running out. 

I sprinted down the hallway and into the parking lot. I shifted, not caring who saw and ran into the forest.

ANNE!? I heard Danny yell through the mind link.

“What!?” I snapped.

“Come back.” He said in his Alpha tone. I had no choice but to shift back and go back to school.

As I walked back down the hall way, on the way to English when someone grabbed my shoulder and stopped me.

“What the hell was that?!” Danny yelled.

“I…I don’t know. I was…thinking about Roderick and my old pack…I felt m…mad and I…I don’t know.” I started crying again.

“Shhh. It’s okay.” Danny said and hugged me.

I was late to English so when I walked in, everyone starred at me. I saw Melinda and Billy sitting together.  I gave the teacher my tardy slip and sat down next to Billy, not even making eye contact with Melinda.

This class passed by quickly, maybe because I missed almost half of the class. When the bell rung I quietly got up and walked out of the class room.

Ok, so this chapter was supposed to be longer but I wanted to upload this part first. So there will be a chapter 5 part 2 and it will be up, probably tomarrow. I'm trying to upload as soon as i can. :)
