For the next few days, I buried myself in research about our Controlled World. I knew they (whoever 'they' were) had to be doing the experimenting on-planet, so I searched for abandoned warehouses. I came up with seventy across the entire planet, and using the autopsy reports of how long ago they were harmed compared to where they were found, I narrowed it down to just seven. I set out immediately, the Righteous Forces on speed dial. The first three were empty, the fourth one was a drug den, and the fifth had been demolished.
