I opened the box and found a note in it. I picked it up and dropped the box on the bed and sat on it with Vincent by my side. I opened it and read.

Dawn honey,

You reading this letter means they've come for me. I can't say much but the main point is you have to come back home to Astra Fall. I guess it's time for you to know the truth. An evil is rising and I believe you are our only hope. You might face a lot getting here but in the box is a necklace.

I unwrapped the paper in the box and pulled out the necklace. It had diamond and turquoise intricate designs with pearls. I continued reading holding the necklace lightly.

Wear it at all times and be extremely careful. Trust no one. Try to train your powers on your way home. I'm going to leave you an address, go there and ask for Samuel Carter. He's a very good man that I trust and I think he'll answer your questions the best he can for now and help you get to Astra Falls. I love you my dear. Please try to make it home ASAP. We need you.
Love,
Mom.

"Whoa," she said skimming over the address. "OK this is becoming freaky. How am I supposed to find someone who lives on the other side of town, and train what I don't know."
"I'll help." I heard Vincent say.
"Help me." I said handing him the necklace which he accepted grinning. I turned my back to him and held my hair up to enable him fix the necklace. When he was done I turned to face him. He stared for a brief second and releasing a sigh he quickly said,
"It matches you perfectly. Like it was made just for you, and I meant I'll help in finding Sam and probably what you should train. If it's fighting, then we don't have much problem." He teased.

"Thanks." there was a short pause and I looked up to his face. "Look, I can't let you come. Who knows what could happen. I don't wanna endanger you or anything, and like the letter said it could be dangerous and I know nothing about all this I'm just so confused, I don't know where to start." I sat on the bed biting my lips.
"I know where you should start," he said and I looked at him my eyes conveying my question.

"Go to sleep."
"I should sleep." I asked with venom in my voice. "My mom's in danger, I'm in danger, I can't find my brother and all you can think about is sleep?" I said glaring at him. If eyes could kill, I'm certain he would be 6 feet under right now but by the look on his face he didn't look fazed.
"Yes. Like you said it's dangerous, who knows when next it would be peaceful enough to have a good night's sleep."
I sighed he was right as always.

"Good point, and I actually feel tired. Dancing really drained me." I said with a sigh. I heard him laugh lightly. It sounded so beautiful. I stood up and walked towards the door as he trailed behind me.
"Thanks for the ride and all".
"Anytime Dawn. I'll see you tomorrow". He kissed my cheek hugging me tightly then jogged down the stairs out of the house.
"Wait what? Don't come." I tried but he had already gone. I suddenly felt lonely and weak. The hug felt pretty good and it made me wish he hadn't gone. Good thing the door was on auto lock. I went to my room where everything was in its place, kicked off my heels and as much as jumping straight to bed looked nice, I went to the bathroom, turned on the faucet for hot water and when it was hot enough, I turned it off and slipped in and squeezed some strawberry bathe gel on my body and scrubbed my body. I leaned in and let the heat envelope me with its warmth for a few minutes while I let my imagination roam, then came out, wrapped a towel around my body and drained the water. Throwing on a short night gown and shorts I slipped under the covers and slept off as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I woke up and looked around the incidents of last night flooding back to my memory. Luckily it was a dreamless sleep.

It was past 9, so I quickly undressed and went to the shower. I took a quick shower then stepped out and wrapped my big towel around me. I went to my wardrobe and picked out a black tank top and leather pants and a black leather jacket. I threw it on then fixed my hair and makeup, my hair cascading around my shoulder. I went to my shoe rack and took a black boot and slipped it on. Picking the necklace, I twirled it around my hand staring at it for a moment and fingering the beautiful arrangement of the white and blue pearls around the middle, and then I wore it. I went down to the kitchen, everything was messy and I decided to just have a glass of juice and go to the address mum gave me. Most likely the maid wouldn't come till tomorrow.
