"Alden?!" she said with a mixture of shock and happiness and pain. The last being from the girl trying to kill her. She ran into his arms and buried her face in his neck.

"Where have you been? I thought they took you with mum."

"Well not technically. Can we talk about it someplace else?" he asked eyeing the people who had attacked her.

"I guess we can spend one more night here." She sighed exasperated as she counted the number of days they had left. She stood aside as Alden addressed her attackers.

'What were you guys thinking attacking her? The plan was to fight the rebels."

"We had no idea it was the princesses troop that came here." Greta murmured.

"Of course. Greta. That's why you hit her and called her name. Any more mistakes from you and you're out. I don't know what has come over you." he said sternly adding emphasis to her name as she lowered her head in shame.

"Get some rest you all. I'll meet you at Dawn." He said dismissing them as he went back to where his sister stood and stretched out his right hand. She smiled up at him as she held it with her left and they walked toward the gate but then she stopped abruptly.

"The others are probably waiting for me at the front of the compound."

"I doubt it. If my men blocked your entrance there's no escape."

They continued walking back and climbed the stairs slowly.

"Way to seem so powerful Al. So what are you? Robin Hood? Or rather Alden Hood the unbeatable?"

Dawn smirked at him which earned her a chuckle from him. How she'd longed to hear his voice as well as his laughter.

"Something like that. I'll tell you about it when we get to somewhere safer." He said as she nodded her head knowingly. Alea could have spies anywhere. They got inside and shut the gate as Imelda came out of where she was cooking, reminding Dawn that she hadn't eaten all day.

"Hey Mel." Alden said simply.

"Alden?" Imelda looked shocked to see him. "We all thought you were dead. I thought I would never hear you call me Mel again." Imelda said softly while Dawn looked at Alden wide-eyed.

"Well I did what I knew best. Followed Mum." He said causing them to laugh as Dawn rolled her eyes, shaking her head. All through their "moves" on earth, he was always eager to pack up and follow mum. "I'll be with you shortly. I'll just finish up here." She said as she shooed the two youngsters' awayas they both made their way to the teams' room.

"Oh my God! You got me... well us worried Dawn." Vince said hugging her tightly as soon as he saw her.

"I'm glad I went." She said with a weak smile as she slide to the nearest chair and closed her eyes taking a deep breath.

"Get her some water." Alden said as he sat beside her. "She must be worn out from all the running."

Carla quickly went out and came back few minutes later with the water. Dawn gulped it down and sat up.
