A/N
Sorry for the late update. Enjoy.

I stayed as quiet as I could, trying to listen to the distinct conversation between the two. I could feel the branch breaking as my shoulder thudded with pain and I couldn't hear them again as their voices grew faint. It seemed like they had gone. I tried to look down but that was the worst mistake I could've made because the branch gave way and broke and I began to fall. I tried my best not to scream by biting my lips and put my hands in front of me to break the fall. and your hands? A voice inside me said, but as I made contact with the ground I felt the bone in my left elbow shift and let out a loud cry. It was dark but the necklace glowed a bright turquoise providing little light. I stood up and tried to find my way out, whilst caressing my elbow. Then I heard a growl behind me. I turned and saw a tiger with chains that looked broken on its paws, its yellow stripes a lighter shade of the brown coat it had.
"Easy boy," I tried soothing it but it seemed that just triggered its anger because it jumped at me. I turned and ran hearing its heavy panting behind me, my heart thudding so hard I thought it would burst out of my rib cage.

"Mental note Dawn never treat a tiger like a dog." I panted running with all the strength I could muster but it was faster jumping in front of me and roaring in my face. I was terrified. Where was my rescue team? I whined in my head. I noticed its canines were about 7inches in length and we're like daggers. I took one step back and it did the opposite by taking one step forward, I took another step and it repeated the same movement, after the third step, it charged at me and I turned and ran but I could feel the strong pull of the necklace the other way so I figured that was my way out and turned and as it jumped at me I ducked causing it to leap over me then I followed the pull of the necklace but I didn't get far. I felt it hit my left side throwing me to the wall. I felt my head make contact with the wall and landed with a thud. I groaned as the pain in my elbow shot to my shoulder and my head began to ache. I bit my lips as I tried to get up but I couldn't see and it was faster. It pined me to the ground putting all its weight on my wounded arm. It roared in my face and I felt a tear escape, then I saw a light come towards us.
"Dawn! Dawn!!" I felt it hit my chest very hard knocking all the air out of my lungs and I heard the crack of a bone as an arrow flew hitting its back making it roar in pain. It charged at whoever it was then I felt an arm carry me carefully and slowly before I passed out.

Vincent POV

When I heard Dawn scream, I turned and noticed she had fallen through a hole.

"Whatever you do don't scream or let go just be quiet." The girl whispered softly.

"Why?" Dawn whimpered as something growled beneath her.

"What's that?" I asked warily.

"That would be a Saber-tooth tiger." She said, "And we have to get her out of there before she becomes Tiger food."

"I thought those were extinct?"

"This is the last one. I went into hiding decades ago and its feeds on unlucky animals that fall into that hole."

I followed her as we went round towards a waterfall. We went around the steep, slippery edges.

"Watch your step. Slip and you're gone." She shouted over the sound of rushing water.

We kept going till we got to a cave behind the waterfall. There were three entrances.

"This is as far as I'm sure. Two of them lead to a dead end so I'm not sure of the way." She said and I looked at her. Strangely enough, I know the way.

I thought as i pulled her through the cave in the middle. We ran and as the narrow way lead to another tunnel which opened up to a wide cave, I heard a roar and a whimper. I looked at Eke and she pulled out and arrow and fixed it in her bow.
