I woke up the next morning when I heard voices outside and went out. There was commotion outside as a group of people shouted telling us that we won't succeed and if we keep trying they would attack us. Everyone seemed relaxed, talking, laughing and Imelda was making some food. It was as if no one could hear them except me. I went slowly to the steps and peeped through the open door. I saw Clancey with her black bobbed hair and a red bow on it turning to talk to someone and laughing. Her outfit, the same as always. Black boots with net panty hose, a short, pleated, black skirt, a dark blue vest and a leather jacket. I quickly moved as she turned back and started talking.

"Quit your mission now and go back to where you came from or else by dark, we would be forced to terminate your existence." I heard the sound of her laughter as I made my way back to the yard.

What was she doing with them? I thought as Vincent came up to me.

"Morning Princess."

"Why are we still here? Why didn't you wake me up? We are supposed to be on our way." I said looking around.

"We can't leave. Not yet. We've been blocked, you can hear the commotion. We can't leave with them still making threats."

"I thought I was the only one who could hear it. Everyone seems to be in a good mood. Gather our team. I'll meet you back at the room in five minutes." I said but stopped him as he started to go and pulled him close whispering in his ear, "Except Clancey".

I then hurried to a bucket of clean water, and washed my face and looking around I found a clay pot sitting on the corridor in front of a door. I opened the door and it seemed to be filled with cooking and eating utensils. I grabbed a cup and fetched some water from the pot and rinsed my mouth thoroughly and spat it out.

As I turned back to go back to the room, I saw Clancey and our eyes met. She looked at me intensely as though I knew something and keeping a straight face I rose one of my brow in a questioning manner and she looked away flushed. I heard someone call her name and I turned and saw two girls waving her over with a smile.

Getting back to the room, they were all laughing as Vince shared a joke but as soon as I entered, they kept quiet.

"Is there any problem Dawn?" Eke asked standing up.

"Yes. We have a big problem. I think Clancey is an imposter, an intruder, a spy..."

"We get it." Vince sad in an exasperated tone. I rolled my eyes and sat down beside Eke on the couch.

"You know I get anomia sometimes." I hissed.

"While they were making threats, I took a sneak peak and she was their spokesman and she also seems to be one of the most important and smartest member of their team, seeing she fooled us all."

"Whoa!" exclaimed Eke. "So what are we gonna do?"

"Nothing."

"Nothing?" Yael said with his deep baritone voice. "What do you mean nothing?"

"Well they won't let us be on our way so we wait and strike at twilight. We can do it. Now no one must know about this arrangement, most of all Clancey."

"Like anyone would actually tell her." Jamond said.

"Don't be surprised." I shrugged relaxing my shoulder. "Vincent how well do you know this compound?"

"Like the back of my hand."

"Good. How many exits are there?"

"Three. The one we came in from, there's one on the other side of the house and the third is out the big living room, but it's been locked ever since Imelda lost her husband."
