Stevie's POV:

Watching your child go through almost what I would call an episode, like Ella's unfortunate accident, is terrifying. I still can't seem to wrap my mind around it, her behaviour lately has been normal, though she's been jumpy around certain things. Before she goes swimming in the pool, she always looks around her as if someone's preying on her, the fainting every afternoon, me catching her in cold sweat and hyperventilating in her sleep...These things just don't make sense. I've been so caught up in recording the album, having a blast with everyone in the house during the hours of non-stop recording and filming, and working with Dave and everybody, and keeping Lindsey happy...I hope, I hope I haven't neglected a problem that Ella may have, I don't think I could be happy with myself knowing that...

I rest my palm beneath my chin, my finger tips placed against the face of my chin. I sit on a chair in the waiting area outside of the hospital unit where Ella's being examined. It's been an hour or so, since she collasped, and we haven't received word from the doctors yet. I told the kids to go home, get some rest they all looked exhausted, I even told Lori to go back to our house but she and Karen and Sharon refused they said they're staying here with Lindsey and I. I hold my coffee in my other hand, and I don't know how to stop myself from throwing a fit of panic.

'' Stevie, she's a strong girl. She's a soldier she'll pull through.'' Lindsey says trying to break the ice.

'' I just, I'm just trying to gather this all together. No healthy fifteen year old girl collaspes to the ground, her arms flaying in the air, her eyes rolling backwards and forwards, for no reason Linds. No I've been neglecting her.'' I take a sip of my coffee.

'' No you haven't Steph. Listen to me, she's so happy that you've decided to record the record in our home and you let her watch what you're all doing.''

'' Lindsey I, while she's been studying all I've been doing is having fun while on the job.''

'' And you don't think she wouldn't want that for you. I see it in her eyes, she's proud to see you having fun Stevie, I just hope not too much.'' he replies in a lower tone.

I take another sip of my coffee, I see Ella's doctor coming down the corridor. I stand up as fast as I can as he approaches myself and everybody.

'' Mr and Mrs Buckingham?'' hoping he has the right couple. He looks confused, yeah the age thing, we get that a lot...

'' Yes we are'' Linds answers.

He smiles. '' Hi I'm Doctor Brenner your daughter is my patient. I hear she's been acting a little strange lately.''

Lindsey looks at me to tell my side of the story. '' Well, we. In the past two months she's been fainting in the afternoon, she'd be out for a minute and get back up. We'd give her a glass of water, make her lie down, then soon enough she's back to bouncing off the walls.'' Doctor Brenner writes everything down as I speak.

'' Okay, and an hour ago. What exactly happened for her to be called here into hospital.''  he ask.

'' Well we were celebrating my birthday. There were a number of people there. I noticed she ran off in the middle of the celebration and my other daughter Lily told me she had a stomach ache so she was resting. Then when everyone was gone, she came down stairs and she--'' I try to breathe but the pace fastens up, Lindsey rubs my back for comfort. '' Please Mrs Buckingham carry on.''

With the image embedded in my mind I tell it how it was '' She looked so pale, not flushed in colour but as in so pale it makes me sick to my stomach to think about it. I noticed she was sweating, she was fanning herself because she was hot. She complained that her ears were ringing, the room was spinning, she had almost slurred her speech. Something wasn't right about her, and I could see that something was bothering her...Then her eyes rolled all the way to the back of her head. her arms jerked around and she fell to the ground and it must have been a hard fall because it was quite a KNOCK'' I reply, I don't realise that a few tears have welled down my eyes so I wipe them away.
