June,Ella's POV:

I slip my fork into the overflow of chicken chow mein with soft noodles, I twist my fork until I get a reasonable amount knotted around the end. I can feel my older sister Theda eyeing me as if I were some alienated creature performing a foreign ritual, but I don't care, I eat how I want to eat. I open my mouth as far as it can go and shove the forkful into my mouth, not caring about the deformed face I make while trying to fit it all into my mouth. I hear Theda quietly exclaim an exasperated gasp, while Karen and Aunty Sharon and Aunty Lori chuckle. But it's not a 'that's cute and it makes me giggle' chuckle it sounds more like '' Gee young lady you're cute but you can really pack it in.'' the answer to that chuckle, is Yes and I'm damn proud! Almost aroused by how good this is, and considering it's been a month since I've had real good chinese food, I enthusiastically stab my fork happily into the noodles to repeat that same act of uber-gluttony. '' Ella!'' Theda exclaims as I shove the next big forkful into my mouth, I roll my eyes as my head is still leveled just above my plate, hair almost touching the edge. '' What!'' I muffle/exclaim in annoyance, I really hate it when people talk to me or ask me a question while I eat. And being yelled at is worse!

I know that everyone's ( my sisters, my aunties, Karen and my mom) eyes are all on me and are still trying to register my ability to just shovel food into my mouth. I finally swallow my bite and lift my head up so I can see everyone. Gosh am I the only one who's touched my food? '' You really need to watch how much you shove in your mouth.'' Oh like she should talk, ''Oh Shut up Theda!'' I bark to her. I hear mom clear her throat '' Excuse me ladies.'' giving us the heads up she doesn't like us arguing (especially in front of other people), we're sisters aside from taking each other's stuff it's compulsory for us to argue and get defensive. I give Theda a snarky look with my eyes, in retaliation she laughs, '' You know in ten years time I imagine all that food catching up to you.'' I really don't like when people make comments about my weight. Or anyone's weight for that matter, especially mine I'm no shakira! Well not yet, and I especially don't like it when people call me fat even though I'm not and it shouldn't matter. I take my fork, a culinary weapon, and I steal a piece of her sweet and sour pork, '' Hey!'' she exclaims as I take it into my mouth, '' mm, mm, mmm!'' Translation: '' I don't really give a damn!'' Theda takes into account my reply and calls it a defeat.

Yes I can eat! Food is something that I really can't live without, especially strawberries and sour patch kids! I'd eat sour patch kids for the rest of my life but I don't want to risk losing my teeth and everything's just starting to go to the thighs...Lily's lucky she has the same appetite and she use to be a plank like me, it wasn't until she turned eighteen that she filled out in the right places for a woman. 6ft tall, not exactly an hourglass silhouette but she definitely has moms genetics of getting curves in the right places, though her frame is still quite slender. She's matured physically after that, Theda was the opposite she went through Puberty when she was ten and got hips and boobs in the same year, she matured young, and now the boys fall head over heels for those two. Me, well, I'm left sitting at the bus stop of no-growth, all by myself, and I'm the one who 'literally' falls head over heels in front of boys. No wonder I'm such a Knockout!

'' Ella you want mine, I ate fro-yo before I came here?'' Lily says, '' You had Fro-yo without me!'' Theda exclaims. Lily rolls her eyes, '' I'll take you for some when were done here.'', '' Without me!'' I join in, no frozen yoghurt damn. I look at mom, using my eyes as my greatest tool to reel her decision into my command, '' Mom please can I go home with Lily and Theda?'', '' Babe I have business deal going on in an hour, and Theda's going to meet up with Jeremy'' Lily replies sweetly. She's the only one of my siblings who doesn't make a mockery of me, after all we are the ones who look like the 'twins' in the family. '' Business deal?'' I question her, the last time I checked she's a KICK-ASS guitarist who is a manager at the most awesomest Vintage boutique (hardly any girls my age go there, and Lily saves all the awesome stuff in the back for me) and is single as off last year. She clicks her tongue and looks at mom, she dropped out of college last year to tour with a band in Europe, they kicked her out because the lead male guitarist was a sexist-jerk who wouldn't let some 'brunette bimbo' come along and steal the limelight. She's so amazing, even guy guitarist shake in there boots.
