Chapter 9 - We Are Believers

Hazel's P.O.V

"A surprise?" grinning and beaming up at Josh; who was laughing at me for my childish acts, what an idiot.  "Not right now you idiot, it's obviously going to be announced with the band and girls.," Nodding quickly, while leaning into Josh's chest, "Why, you do that?" Faking a pout while looking up at Josh who just smirked while adding "Because I said so, okay!." He poked his tongue out at me, laughing. I tried faking a frown which just ended up with the both of us, laughing at myself. I missed this days the most, spending alone time with Josh, under all his stubborn and diva-ness he's actually the most funniest and loveliest guy; he's so caring and kind for you, when you need it. That's what I like about him; I felt butterflies in my stomach and actually frowned at why this occurred, I wasn't sure if old feelings were returning; after all he was my first love - which never exactly worked out as he was jealous I hung out with Adrian and his friends a lot - I guess Josh didn't really trust me back then or know how to control a relationship. It lasted about three weeks; our relationship. But after it all, we became best friends and closer than ever before, having Josh back like this was amazing. I was sure, that Adrian would be proud of us, this moment and how I've automatically connected with the boys, and girls again. He knew how much they meant to me, and still do.

"So, are you?" Josh frowned at me, asking me in an annoyed tone. "Sorry what?" I answered quickly, he sighed dramatically. "Are you coming side stage, half your surprise is there - the minor one." I nodded quickly, smiling up to him. "Okay pumpkin, we need to get going then." he then picked me up, in a bridal style kind of way. I laughed at him as he tried opening the door. Which ended up in myself pouting at Josh; as soon as he opened the door I screamed out to Dan.

"DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!" everyone looked at me suspiciously and raised an eyebrow "Josh touched my butt!" pouting and hanging my hands out for Dan, he quickly took me. "How dare you Joshua!" He growled, while Josh pulled on the most innocent face he could, I giggled at him. "I'm sorry Daniel, I didn't mean too!" he pouted and looked at me, sadly "I thought we had something going on. The fans are going to be disappointed now Joshua. You ruined Flinteschi!" Dan started fake crying, putting me down and running out of the room, down the hallway. "Josh I can't believe you," I sighed, shaking my head and ran after Dan.

"Dan, are you okay sweetie?" I asked, he then laughed at me, that tears were coming out of his eyes. "Far out, this hasn't happened for a while; thank you, so much Hazel." He smiled, hugging me tightly, I laughed and patted his back as Josh, Matt and Axel came out. "He doesn't want to see you, Josh" Right then, everyone just started laughing. The support act - Forever Ends Here came out looking at us all suspiciously. "Nothing is wrong here, it's okay" Chris spoke to the guys in Forever Ends Here; Luke, Jackson, Maverick and Kane. They all nodded and went back into their room.

Watching as everyone was getting their equipment, ear plugs and sticks/picks, I smiled to myself, having to get used to the guys playing big shows will be so much more different than it was two years ago. They all nodded to me, which Axel and I got up, and walked over to the side stage. We watched as the fans were standing in the crowd, a few of them looked at Axel and myself, which were good, weird and death stares. Didn't really mind or care about them, but Axel and I both smiled sweetly at them. I leaned against the wall as I watched Dan, Matt, Max and Chris fill the stage, Josh came the side Axel and I were on, "Ready Joshy boy?" I asked him, he nodded and hugged me, whispering in my ear "I hope you don't mind me sharing something of yours, on stage.." Raising an eyebrow at him, while hugging him back, he smiled sweetly at me.

After a few songs of theirs being played, just before they played 'Stay With Me' Josh started up at speech,

"So there's this one person, in fact a girl here tonight which I wanted to tell you all about, no it's not a girlfriend announcement or anything like that" he laughed nervously into the microphone, Matt went up to his microphone and spoke softly "Is it about you and Dan breaking up because of her?" Matt winked at Josh while Josh rolled his eyes. "I thought you weren't going to bring that up?! What a bad friend, god" Josh spoke in sarcasm, the crowd screamed and laughed. "Anyway, this girl I'm about to tell you all about is one of the strongest people I've ever met. Three years ago, when I was still at school, best friends with her, along with the idiots you see one stage" he laughed into the microphone again while I saw Dan pouting, he got off from his drums and ran down to Max's microphone "First you break up with me, now you insult us? That's it, the bands over. I'm out." he ran off stage fake crying and hugged me. "He's only joking guys, unfortunately you still have to put up with us.." Matt spoke into the microphone "Guys shut up, anyway as I was saying, when we were still back at school this girl lost her brother; who she was really close to, so obviously everything became shit for her, she became individual, never wore her beautiful smile, never joked or mucked around with us, never was happy, she was isolated, depressed and just not her, the only people she let speak to her was Dan and myself. A lot of her, and her brother's friends gave up on her, no one wanted to be around her, a lot of people at school gave her crap, she wasn't herself anymore, but we won't go into too much of that detail, but once we graduated we lost contact with her. No one knew how she was or what she was doing, until a couple of nights ago, I bumped into her at midnight.. Dan saw her at the shops, we all got so happy-" Josh got cut off by Max.

"What were you doing stalking a girl at midnight Josh, huh?" the crowd laughed at Max being silly. "You know why Max, of the stress that night, I went off for a walk; anyway recently we've all become close again, she's brought out the guys humour again as you can see, and I just wanted to thank her, for being so strong and stable to be able to move on from her dark days, which all of you out there can too. I believe in you all, we ARE believers!"  Josh chanted through the microphone, tears were running down my face, he did mean more to me than anyone else did at this moment. Before I knew it, Dan slung me across his shoulder, the only thing I could see was his butt.. Which I didn't mind too much, laughing at myself while he put me down on stage, Josh slung his arm around his shoulders.

"Give it up for my best friend, Hazel!" he chanted into the microphone, smiling awkwardly, I kissed his cheek, which made the crowd go wild. I couldn't wait for the rest of this week, they promised to stay with me..
