Pink with butterflies

The next morning:
Eddie woke up feeling the emptiness of the bed sheets beside her, she threw her arm over and it just hit the bed. She sat up looking around for Jamie when she saw a note on his bedside table;
   Good morning baby, I've gone to work this case     needs to come to an end. Sorry if I'm gone all day but I've left you money to buy paint for Amy's room (she wants it pink) and her a bed that sleeping bag is a joke. The people coming to see her living conditions are coming tomorrow. Have a good day I love you! Tell Amy I'll make cookies when I get home I forgot yesterday.

Eddie smiled and put the note down, she had called into work last night she isn't going back to work till she is back from the honeymoon. So this week she is all open for Amy. Her and Jamie are trying to make her feel more at home. Finally Eddie rolled out of bed going to wake Amy.

Jamie:
Jamie pulled up outside the church that he has singled out on the map. He didn't know what he was going to find here. Finally after watching his partner getting out of her car he jumped out too. Just by walking up the stairs he could tell why Amy hated it here. This place looked crazy from the outside, it was fall so everything looked dead already but the trees behind the church were growing over creating a spooky sense to anyone never less a four year old. He opened the door to find a wide open space, dust covered the place. He raised his gun and went down the stairs to the basement. He opened a door that lead a dark room. Turning on his flashlight he noticed the cages in the room. Dog cages each with a number on it. Jamie felt sick to his stomach as he looked around dried blood on the floor. Originally this case has been solved with john admitting to raping Amy and others but they had to make sure there were no more girls and that he wasn't working with anyone. But now seeing this made Jamie want john to pay for what he did and jail seemed like a joke. He needs to be locked in a dog caged and beaten like he did these girls. Jamie walked back upstairs and seen his partner in another room.
"What's in there?" He called out walking her way.
"Better you see yourself." He walked in to see a mattress covered with dried blood and tools hanging on the wall he must have used on them.
"Oh my god." Jamie felt even more sick.
"It gets worst there's photos." She told him he took them from her flipping through till he got to Amy...
"I'm going to kill him." Jamie turned walking away.
"Jamie no! This is evidence that will put him away for a long time! You could ruin that." She tired.
"YOU DONT UNDERSTAND! You tired seeing this little girl stuffer because of what he did to her! To see those photos of her after you watched her playing princesses so innocently in the floor last night!" He yelled at her!
"Jamie please clam down your not helping her by getting angry!"
"I am if he means this little girl never has to worry about this man ever again!!" With that Jamie stormed off.

Eddie:
"Can I have a pink room with butterflies?" Amy asked from the buggy Eddie had her in pushing it.
"Whatever you want sweetie" she smiled at her looking through the different color shades of pink.
"Do you want this color of pink or this one?" Eddie held her up two options.
"That one!" She pointed to the light pink.
"Okay." Eddie put it in the buggy and started over to the paint brushes when her phone rang;
"Hello?"
"Hey it's Erin, I was wondering where Jamie got with the case?" Eddie glanced up at Amy playing with her stuffed bunny she was getting her and said;
"I'm not sure Erin he left early this morning I'm worried maybe you could go check on him?"
"Oh okay I'll start that way now. Bye Eddie."
"Bye."
Amy looked up at Eddie putting her phone back in her purse.
"Who was that?" She asked.
"Aunt Erin she was checking on us." Eddie lied and put some paint brushes into the buggy.
"Lets go check out then we can go to the next store and buy a bed okay?"
"Okay." Amy smiled at her.

Jamie:
He stormed into the station with only one thing on his mind when he seen his sister at his desk.
"Jamie! What happened?" She asked when she seen his face.
"I'm busy Erin." He turned and started down the wall.
"Where are you going then?" She asked following him.
"To speak to john."
"Just speak?"
"ERIN DONT! You have no idea what this guy has done!" Jamie shouted causing some officers to stare.
"Then explain." She challenged.
"Erin I don't have time for this!"
"Then what? Your just going to walk in there and what? Huh? Kill him in the police station? You do know that is murder no matter what!"
"He doesn't deserve to live! After what I saw today it makes jail seem like a joke! So yeah if that's what it takes!" He told her.
"Jamie breathe and listen to me, I know your mad and I know this guy gets under your skin but your adopting Amy and by what I seen in church she needs you way more then she needs this man to feel what she did. She wants to forget this like everyone so please don't make it more of tragic moment then it already is." Erin looked at her brother, he looked so young again like when they were kids and she was calling him down for something. He looked up at her with tears in his eyes. Erin leaned forward and pulled him into a hug.
"Let us finish this case Jamie go home go be with your family there the most important thing right now." Erin kissed his cheek and headed down the hall.

At home:
Jamie walked through the door to find music blasting in the living room, it was "let it go" off the movie frozen he silently laughed at Eddie excuse to listen to Disney music was that Amy wanted to hear it but he knew better. He walked down the hall to Amy's room and peaked inside, it was all pink the walls looked amazing he wonder how they did it all alone. He smiled at the purple and blue butterflies that hung on the wall. There were parts of a bed laying in the corner he wondered where they were, they must have given up.
Walking out of Amy's room he quickly checked the bathroom to find nobody. Then he headed into eddies and his room, he opened the door quietly to find Eddie laying on her stomach fast a sleep with Amy cuddled into her side, they were both covered in bright pink paint and wore t-shirts that was too big on them. Jamie smiled and took out his phone to snap a picture of them. He made it his wallpaper before going onto his Facebook (Eddie made him get one) then posted the picture with the caption
"My girls, I love my new little family." He turned off his phone and put it on the dresser before heading by to Amy's room to finish her bed.

I know this is a surprise update because I only really update on the weekends but I figured this is a chapter I really needed to get in before the wedding:) I really excited to start writing that it will be out Sunday! It's the day and night before the wedding and everything that Linda and Erin predicted is slowly coming true. The rehearsal of the wedding is coming up too and Eddie is starting to freak out she wants everything to be perfect.
