10/16/16 Eddie looked up at Jamie sitting at the Reagan family table, "Its official" Erin bellowed out across the house! "The date has been set!" Everyone cheer and hugged the couple. "Come on Eddie now we have to go look for you dress and found out the bridesmaids I'm so excited!" Erin told her sitting down next to her. "Erin relax its September the wedding is in October." She laughed at her future sister in law.
"Yeah but that only gives us about one mouth!" She wined. Eddie just rolled her eyes asking for help from Jamie but he held his hands up in surrender "No I did the hard part asking you to marry me 'he chuckles' but whatever you say goes I will follow along" Eddie stood and walked over to him. "No Jamie I'm not marrying myself you need to help too!" He reached out and pulled her into his arms "Okay" he was leaning into kiss her but a magazine stopped him "I think this wedding dress is perfect!" Linda said pulling it out from between them making Eddie laugh.  "How about next Sunday after dinner we continue this" she ask more a plea then a question. Erin and Linda rolled their eyes "okay but just this once" they told her. "Soooo what do you have planned instead of this?" Jamie asked her, "well maybe we could go home and watch some movies and relax?" She suggested. But Jamie shook his head "I have a better idea" with a evil grin on his face.
1 hour later:
"Jamie where are we?" She asked allowing him to pull her into the woods. "Come on not much further you will love it" Jamie lead her into the wide opening of trees seeing the whole view of the city. He took out a blanket from his bag and laid it out. Eddie was struck by the view but not of the city .. the stars, they were always so pretty at night and now they had the perfect view. "Jamie it's so perfect" she kissed him sitting down on the blanket. "Wait" Jamie told her pulling out some small candles from his bag bc the sun was setting. "Thank you this is what I needed" she kissed him again before laying down. "I can't wait to make you a Reagan watching you today with my family your a perfect fit" he pulled her into him kissing her temple. She smiles and continues to look at the stars. "You know when I was little and my mom an dad would fight to much I would climb out my window and watch the stars it was so relaxing and it was far away from my problems" he studied her face all clam and relaxed "I'm sorry you went through that Eddie" he tighten his grip on her. "It's okay it's been better now I'm with you as a child I would have never thought I would be here" he nodded deciding not to say anything. "I love you Jamie it feels like nothing could go wrong right now" she kissed him. He pulled back "I love you too baby" Jamie looked over at his phone it read 10:30pm "you ready to go?" She nodded helping him gather their stuff. Once they got home they got ready for bed and turned in early they both had early stiffs in the morning.
The next day:
Jamie kissed Eddie goodbye walking over to his car. They both were heading into work at 8am when all Jamie wanted to do is cuddle and sleep. This past weekend was as much time that he and Eddie got these days, they see each other at night of course and in the mornings but they don't get to have all night talks or spend lazy mornings in bed because of their work. Of course it's more Jamie's work then hers he would get off work around seven some nights when he really leaves at four its killing him. In some ways to he knows that Eddie feels the same way she has to spend time in their apartment alone till he gets home and most of the time he would come in eat and go to sleep. As he pulled up to the precedent he made a mental note about talking to Eddie about a small vacation so they could have more nights like last night. "Morning Jamie" His boss greeted him in a monotone voice like every morning. Jamie just Mummers a good morning back when really his morning hadn't been that great. Here he was again working this case that seems to never end, as soon as they turn a rock over they find more evidence that leads to another it was tiring. "Morning" he said to his partner sitting across from his desk. He heard her say one back but he didn't bother looking up he just wanted this day to end.
Eddie:
"Eddie I need you to take this to the detectives that are waiting outside please" her boss called to her.
"Yes Sir" she took the box of things outside to see Danny and his partner. "Hey Danny" she called out walking over to him handing the box to him. "Hey Eddie" he smiled at her but not the same normal Danny Reagan smile this one was distant and frustrating. "Busy day?" She asked. "Yeah I'm surprised Jamie didn't tell you we have been working this case on missing kids from a froster home being trafficked against their will being going on for years now" Eddies smile dropped off her face "oh I'm sorry Danny and no Jamie doesn't mention work that often" Danny gave her a puzzled look "oh I figured he did thats not good for him to keep that bundled up talk to him okay?" Eddie nodded and smiled once again "sure thing" and turned heading back into the development for roll call.
Jamie:
He walked out of the interrogation room the guy was just enjoying this way to much Jamie wanted to struggle him. It was two hours past four and Jamie was ready to call it a day when they brought this fool in. "We are getting no where with him" Jamie informed them. They had found 8 girls with this guy when they brought him with the girls Jamie gave them a place to sit and talk to the officer and yet again getting no where. It made Jamie sick to his stomach 'how could some one do this to a little girls'? He had been asking himself that question a lot lately.  "Okay everyone we have all the girls processed we can call it a day" the boss announced. Finally Jamie was packing his stuff to leave but before he left he seen this little girl sitting on a bench not more than 4 years old she was with the girls who had been brought in but Jamie didn't notice her before. She had a tiny figure, biggest green eyes ever and blond curls. His heart sunk into his shoes as he gave her face another look she looked frighten. "Hey sergeant what happens to the girls we found?" Jamie asked. "They will be send back into the homes they were taken from." He replied. "The same ones? Just like that?" Jamie face fell again he could even imagine. "How about tonight?" Jamie asked again. "What?" The sergeant looked up from his paper work. "Where will they be taken tonight?" Jamie said. "Oh um they will probably stay in a safe house with some officers" he told Jamie. "Is it okay if I take that one right there home with me for the night she looks younger and more frightened than the others" the sergeant stood up to see where Jamie was pointing. "I'm sure there is protocol against that but at this point I don't mind Jamie if she wants to go have her back in the morning." Jamie nods and walks over to the girl bending done in front of her but not to close to scare her. "Hey my names Jamie what's yours?" The little girl looks up at him for a second, "Amy" her voice was small and scared. "Oh that's a pretty name Amy" he smiles at her. She smiles at him, "can I tell you a secret?" Jamie nods. "I don't think the other girls like me" Jamie's face fell. "Whys that?" She looked back down at her shoes "because they don't talk to me and their older too I'm scared of them" Jamie stood up and say down beside her. "It's my turn to tell a secret okay?" She looked up at him and nodded. "Sometimes when i get scared I pretend like I'm at my favorite place and it helps me" he had her full attention now. "Hey Amy since you don't like the other girls what would you say coming and staying the night at my house?" Amy looked like she was about to cry "you would want me to honest?" Jamie nodded "my wife would love to meet you too!" Jamie told her. Amy smiled at him "could we go now?" Jamie nods and holds out his hand and he feels her little hands slide into his. "Hey Amy I'm going to call Eddie and tell her okay?" Amy nods and he tells her to wait at his desk. As he waits for Eddie to answer he watches Amy stand by his desk really still looking at her shoes 'how could someone do that to her?' And for the first time since he started talking to her he notice how easy it was for him to call Eddie his wife, "Hello Jamie?" He hears Eddie answer.
