Missing home

Jamie neck creaked as he leaned up. He has been in the same chair sleeping for 3 days. The hospital people never seem to notice he was sleeping there not even offering a bed. But he didn't mind as long as he was with Eddie. She had been doing better but started to complain wanting to go home but they never answer her. Jamie knew keeping her here was the for the best but he wanting his fiancée back at home. "Jamie" he heard her horse voice call out. He couldn't even image what it was like to not being able to see if he was in the room or not. "I am here Eddie" he got up from his chair and kissed her on the forehead. "You want breakfast?" He watched her think about it before shanking her head. "Come on Eddie there not going to let you go if you won't even eat what they give you". Eddie knew he was making sense but her stomach was feeling funny again. "I can't Jamie" she turned away from him. "I just want to go home take me home". She felt like crying but she had no more tears left "Eddie"he walked to other side and rubbed her back. Something she loved him doing when she's upset. "Do you know what it's like?....I don't know what this room looks like I don't know what the people look like...I want you to take me home I want it to me just you and me" that broke Jamie's heart not being able to help her. "I will talk to the doctor ok but first you have to eat this". He pulled the tray over her bed.
Talking to the doctor:
"Hey doc wait" Jamie finally saw the doctor coming out of one of the rooms. "Hey Jamie" he looked surprised that Jamie was there. "What can I do for you?" He smiled. "I wanted to ask about maybe letting Eddie go home? I think it would be better for her being around the apartment she knows" before Jamie could finish he saw the doctor shake his head. "Jamie she is getting the best care here. She needs someone watching her at all times and if something goes wrong we are just out the door" Jamie wasn't disagreeing with him but Eddie wanting to leave she was driving herself crazy. "Don't you think she would recover faster if she was around her old stuff" the doctor looked at Jamie's pleasing face. "I would but she needs 24-7 watch for a while Jamie and....." Jamie interrupted "and she will have that please doc she is driving herself crazy being here." The doctor nodded "ok Jamie I will stop by her room in 30mins and talk to y'all" and walked down the hallway.
Eddies pov:
It was raining she could hear it beating down on the roof. Finally a different sound other than beeping. She hoped Jamie got somewheres with the doctor if not she was thinking about just running away. She smiled as the door to her room opened. "Jamie you back" She said happily. "Ah no I came to see you Eddie I was worried." She knew that voice her mother. Like hell she was worried about her she wasn't growing up what has changed Eddie thought. "Mom? What are you doing here"..she heard her get closer but not knowing what side she was on. "I came to see you baby I was worried." Eddie shook her head "leave I don't want you here" she pushed the button that called the nurses. "Please Eddie all I want to do is talk". She said after seeing what Eddie did. "I told you I didn't want to who even told you I was here" Eddie wondered. "The hospital call they have every time you got hurt...and...." But Eddie didn't let her finish "and you didn't come"........ Her mom was getting ready to reply when a nurse walked in. "Everything alright m.s janko" Eddie shook her head. "I don't want her in here" it broke her moms heart. "Can you please come with me ma" Eddie knew her mom was crying she could hear it. She didn't feel bad though she didn't want her here.
Jamie's pov:
The time I made it back down to eddies floor there was a blond lady and a nurse leaving the lady was crying. Jamie's heart skipped a beat scared Eddie was not ok.. But relief came over him when he saw her laying with her head on the pillow and turned through the window. "Hey baby" Jamie walked in and kissed her head. "Jamie thank god you back!" She leaned up out of the bed hugging Jamie. "What happened babe" Jamie felt her shake her head against his shoulder. "That was my mom" Jamie was surprised but held Eddie. "What did the doctor say?" She finally ask pulling away. "He is coming to talk to us in a few minutes." Eddie nodded and Laid back down Jamie could something was bothering her. "What will happen when we go home Jamie?" Jamie took the sit down next to her. "It will be the same baby just me and you" Eddie face turned angry before he finished. "NO JAMIE!! It won't be the same!! What happens when you go but to work huh? What happens if I don't get better!!" She kept her voice down to a soft yell. Before Jamie said anything the doctor walked in.
Frank's pov:
The whole family sat around the Sunday dinner table but without Jamie and Eddie there it was quite. No one was talking just eating there dinners a looking at there empty chair everyone once in a while. "Dad is Eddie going to get better?" Danny could hear the worry in jacks voice. "We hope so son she had a pretty hard fall" jack nodded and the table fell silent again. "Danny how's work" Henry said trying to make conversation. "Ah good pop" Danny replied. "Has only one went out to see Jamie lately?" Erin said. Everyone shook there head. "He is suffering just as bad as her we need him to sleep and eat and by the looks of it he is not" Frank nodded. "His break time ends next week." Everyone just stared at there sits not saying another word. Till the phone hang. Frank got up to answer it trying to get away from the table. "Hello?" He answered. Danny grabbed Linda's hand from under the table "maybe we should go see them after dinner" he told her. "That won't be necessary" frank walked through saying. "There letting Eddie out of the hospital Jamie said she was driving her self insane." The whole family cheered for the good news. "But there's something Jamie needs help with before he gets home tomorrow afternoon."
The next day Jamie and Eddie:
They were finally letting Eddie go home today!! Jamie was excited to get her home. He was packing there bags they were leaving in 30 minutes. She was sleeping off the the medication they came her. But after 25 minutes he went to wake her so they could leave. "Hey baby ready to go home" Eddie woke up and hugged Jamie. "I can't wait to go home" she said kissing him on the cheek not being able to see where exactly though. "I am so clad we are leaving" he agreed and grab some clothes "here I am going to help you put these on ok" she nodded as she felt Jamie sit her up. She felt helpless and a little embarrassed. Jamie saw the look on her face "are you in pain?" Worried he hurt her. "What no I...um...it's just I don't know" she couldn't finish. But Jamie knew that look "Eddie you don't have to be embarrassed I always have your back besides we are getting married it not like I haven't seen you" he chuckles a little helping her get her shirt on. "I know but I just don't want to make you do very thing for me" he kissed her on the head knowing she hated people's pity. He helped her in her pants and button them. "Ready baby" she nodded and Jamie grabbed her stuff and her hand. "Let's go". The nurse helped Eddie get to the car and into it after she thanked them her and Jamie headed home.
Arriving at home:
Eddie heard Jamie's family outside the car when he pulled in. "Hey y'all" he yelled out the window. He jumped out and ran around to help Eddie. She held his head tight scared to walk and run into something. "Don't worry about the bags Jamie we will get it" Frank and Danny said taking there stuff in. "Uncle Jamie aunt Eddie!!" Jack said ran into them yelling. "Hey buddy" Jamie ran his free head into his hair. They walked through the steps but Jamie knew Eddie would be mad if he tried to help her up very step so he offered to carry he on his back. She laughed at him but agreed. "It was nice for your family to be here" Eddie said when they reached the top. "Yeah they helped me with something" they walked inside and Jamie felt really dumb Eddie couldn't see the sigh that said welcome home and her stuff in his living room. She held his hand. "What did they do?" Eddie asked. "They moved your stuff in" he kissed her cheek and lead her to the couch. "Hey Jamie it's getting late me and the boys have to go meet Linda we just came to say goodbye" Jamie hugged his family because his dad was leaving to "thanks you guys means a lot to us" he thanked them looking at Eddie who was unnoticeable quite. "Bye" they left Eddie and Jamie alone. "Eddie you ok you haven't said much since we got here" she nodded "yeah I am fine just tied." He pulled her up from the couch. "Why don't we go to bed then" it was still around 7pm but Jamie was tried too. They laid there quiet but when Jamie thought Eddie was asleep she asked "Jamie can you sleep" he rolled over closer to her. "No not really just have a lot on my mind." She sighed. "Jamie why haven't you kissed me since it happen?" She asked in a worried voice. "I just didn't want to scare you I mean you can't knew if I was going to so you couldn't stop me if you didn't want to" he answer. She nodded "you won't scare me right now". Jamie let out a laugh and leaned down and kissed her for the first time in 4 days. It wasn't long but it was sweet. "Is that what was bothering you?" She stay quite but said "you know you don't have to none of this...you don't have to marry me because you feel bad. How am I supposed to walk down the aisle if i can't see" Jamie knew she was worried about this. "Eddie the doctor thinks you will get better ok? And even if you didn't I love you more than I ever did!" He pulled her closer letting her cry on his shoulder. "I love you so much" he cools her. "I love you to" she said closing her eyes both felling asleep.
The next morning:
Jamie heard his phone ringing and get up to answer it. "Hello" he tiredly said. It was his boss telling him he had work on Wednesday. He talked a minute longer before walking into the room. "Morning baby" he told her crawling on the bed and kissed her lips. Her eyes opened and she blinked a few times. Jamie could have swear she was looking right at him. "Eddie?" She started smiling at him. "Morning" he kissed her deeply. "Oh my god!!!" Eddie seen him for the first time in 4 days. "I...I can see" she said looking at him.
