It was a dark day. Serving as a great formality when it came to Leon's mood as he stared out of the window through tired eyes. Lightning struck and thunder boomed, distracting him from writing any words of importance. Perhaps tomorrow would be a better day. Yet he didn't have time.

Ruling over this dimension; this world, would not offer much if the creatures were all dead. Leon sighed, running a hand through his hair. It was his duty to search for the last Warper, perhaps they would assist him. A Warper was a beast that could shift forms, even disguise itself as a human. Not only that, but it could go back to Earth, even live there if desired. Yet if he did not search for the creature, this place would fall. Leon tapped the pencil against his head, frustrated with himself. There would be no point to the kingdom if he allowed it to consume him. Darkness. It took over his soul a little more each and every day, waiting like this did not help his case.

A long time ago, this dimension was peaceful. No evil, nothing. Yet recently, a darkness like no other had began to devour this place. Starting at the south border and reaching half way before Leon confronted the evil. Lost of what to do, he had granted the darkness permission to take over his body. It was better than the entire world being destroyed. Sacrifices had to be made.

Leon frowned, how could this have happened? He had been so careful. Light so prominent in this dimension, and yet it still seeped through the cracks. He was a King, but would not allow himself rule any longer if the monstrosity living inside of him would take over. There were no people that abode here, thus he was unable to hand over the throne. He must discover those worthy, too. Leon smiled at that. Of course! How had he not thought of it before?

"My dragon, here, we must seek the Warper. Take me there."

Rushing a few sentences, he grinned at his last command on the scroll. Then proceeding to grab the diary by the desk, he shoved it in his bag along with the scroll as he awaited his pet.

As demanded, the beast crawled over to him. Moving away from the shadows and into the light, staring up at Leon with its wings spread wide. The creature was sly, the face of a snake, the body of a lizard and the wings of a dragon. It's colour was white and the spots dotted all across it's form represented the darkness. The darkness was consuming it too, like its master. Like you would a horse,; Leon lifted a leg over it, pressing his stomach against its back and gripped onto its neck as the beast took flight.

"What is your business here?"

Leon scowled, tossing the book at the Warper, he motioned to his dragon and himself. "We are becoming more evil by the minute, I need you to do one more thing for this kingdom. I need new Royal's, four of them. Choose four sixteen year old's every decade, one of fire, one of water, one of earth and the other of air. Give them that book when they arrive, it will tell them all they need to know. Insert this scroll inside of an old clock with a keyhole, the one that looks like the drawing inside of it. You will understand once it's read. When they turn 26, after they battle without success, replace them. Only those worthy will be able to unlock it, I don't want some random kids running this place for the rest of their life."

The Warper did not seem impressed, examining the objects with distaste. Then glancing at Leon's dragon as it growled at him. "First of all, I do not take kindly to threats, secondly, why would I help you?"

"I would have thought me being King would have been enough for you," Leon gritted his teeth. "But seeing the greedy pig you are, I will grant you access to my wealth."

"That's more like it." The Warper's lips curled up into a smirk, "Besides, why are you quitting?"

"The darkness inside of me is growing, not that it is of your concern." Leon sighed, before turning to leave. "Don't forget my words or this kingdom will be ruined, doomed."

"From what?"

"Me," he said.

If these new Royal's were strong enough, perhaps they could defeat him, the darker version of himself. The Darkness King.
