Abigail and Hannah are sent back to Ancient Egypt to stop yet another woman from trying to start a war that could re write the future. Little does Abigail know this hits closer to home then she could ever imagine. Now take a journey back to the time...
The next day I was removed from the harem just like the Pharaoh said I would be, Hannah was also assigned to another job, helping Ay in the library of the palace. Him alone with her just sent shivers down my spine. Being summoned was another thing that sent shivers down my spine as well. The pharaoh had called for me and I could already tell some of the people who were around him everyday were suspicious of me already, that had to be a new record. Walking into what I called the throne room I was starred down by men, women and servants I did not know.
"Neferure, to be a servant to my wife and myself you must be trained, we can't have someone who cannot defend their selves let alone myself or my wife. Talani is one of our few female warriors and she will be the one testing your skills." Pharaoh says as he stands from his throne.
The doors open again and I see a very tanned woman walking my way with weapons and what looks to be a pair of spare clothes and two masks in her hand. Not knowing what else to do I waited for her to get to me and when she did she looked me over more thorough with her eyes then anyone ever had.
"Come with me, we shall get you ready for your training." Talani says not showing any emotion at all, nodding I follow her out of the throne room.
"Why does this woman matter? She is just some harem girl nothing more." a deep male voice says even though Talani and I can still clearly hear them.
"You dare argue with the Pharaoh?" another male voice spoke up and to me this one sounded like a true suck up.
"Ignore them, men are always petty especially here, when we fight give me everything you got, hold nothing back for if they see you fail even for a moment they will kill you.'' Talani tells me and I gulp. "The mask protects you from the blades at least on your face. We are using the sais because they are a common weapon around here so use them well and get changed."
With those few words she hands me a short white skirt, a top that I will be lucky if it covers me, a gold mask and a pair of sai's. Why do I not have a good feeling about this? Wait I took on Romans and gladiators how hard could this be? Taking off my long white dress I put on the ridiculous outfit. Anyone would hate having to prove them selves but now I had a reason to, you know to stay alive! Putting the mask on I twirl my sais as I walk back out.
They all stare at me as I walk to the center and stand before Talani. Nodding she twirls her own sais as well and the fight begins.

As we begin to fight it seems as though we know one another's movements, that made sense to me since I was trained in so many fighting styles I honestly forgot how many I knew but still I had to prove myself and better or equal fighter to her. Still she knew what she was doing and she was going to try and humiliate me no matter what I did.

Not trying to show off I still managed to pull a few move on her that she definitely did not see coming. We could sense everyone around us was watching more and more interesting as the others watched us with their eyes. Still I knew this had to end eventually and I would be the one to lose since I was just suppose to be a harem girl I decided to give in.

Twisting me around she tripped me and I fell clean backwards to the floor as she spun her sais before me. Sighing I lifted my body a little using my elbows as she looked down and me and slowly removed her masked and I was surprised to see a smile as she looked down.
"We'll make a warrior of you yet, you have courage and the pharaoh was wise in choosing you." Talani said as she offered me her arm to help me up.
"I would be honored." I reply as I accept her arm and she helps me to stand besides her.
"You fight well, for a harem girl." the general says as he walks forward and stares me down.
Feeling the pressure just of his presence I look down, then I feel him touch a piece of my hair and every part of my body just wanted to push him as far away from me as I could. He lifted a piece of my hair to his face and for a moment I was afraid he was going to smell it or something like that.
"Ka, take Neferure to her new room and give her a new set of clothes, I doubt she wants to be wearing that all day." the pharaoh said and I looked up just time to to lock eyes with him. "You did will Neferure, with more training I am sure my life as well as my wifes will be safe in your hands."
Bowing I feel Ka come up behind me, tapping me on the back I turn around and see Ka was actually smiling at me. I didn't know what but still it was better then a scowl. Ka motioned for me to follow him which I did because well I really wanted out of these clothes.
"You seem to know how to defend yourself, still you must be careful who you trust here. Not all are like the Pharaoh. Others would stab you in the back while shaking your hand." Ka tells me.
"You say this as though you have experienced it my lord." I reply honestly.
"I have, that is why I am warning you. You may have been a simple harem girl before but now that you are beside the Pharaoh and Queen you are a target." Ka says as he leads me to a room I had not seen before. "This is your new room. Clothes are behind the screen and I am sure I will be seeing more of you Neferure until then, be safe."
With those last and scary words Ka walks out of the room. I had no idea what was going on but I knew that it wasn't good.
