      "So you're an original vampire?" Alexis frowned and I groaned.

      "I just explained the story not going for a repeat. I have three sides to me, vampire, witch and werewolf," I explained, "I was born in 1113, so I'm an original."

        "Whoa." Alexis told me, "You really think it was your twin?"

        "I tracked her to New York like an hour an half or longer beforehand but she is very cunning and smart, not to mention knows how to make a hell of a plan," I told her.

        "We need to go after her!" Alexis declared, I smiled at her lightly.

        "We..."

        "Cannot," Damon finished for me walking in and I sent a glare his way and whipped the curtains open then threw him in the sun and he smirked showing me his daylight ring.

        "Alexis, would you?" I asked smirking, "I can keep the arrogant jerk there."

        "Would be an honor," Alexis told me and murmured a few words and Damon cursed then I let him move.

        "Now like I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted," I told Alexis sending a pointed look in Damon's direction and closed the curtains then Elena came walking in and I sighed, "Alexis meet the human doppelganger Elena Gilbert, Elena this is Alexis she is from Rock Creek. Don't freak out over Damon, he is fine, just got a tad sunburnt."

          Damon snorted at my joke, "Thanks to you and your friend."

          "Don't go that far, I saved her life because I already have dibs on killing her and she is bait for my sister or whoever took her," I told Damon, Elena looked shocked and Alexis rolled her eyes.

           "I deserved that, I know I did Cat. I didn't want you to die, so I gave you vampire blood for you wouldn't, okay? I didn't know your supernatural life would be more hectic then your old one...I'm sorry." Alexis told me, "Now I'm in the same boat as you, my parents are dead! Murdered by a vampire and so is Skylar."

         Alexis's eyes were brimming with tears and I did the thing I least expected I would do in this lifetime again, I hugged her, "Everything will be okay, I promise, my life is better...in a way. I just have many pissed off vampires in it and too much history I didn't know about." I sighed, "I forgive you, okay? You gave me a new life, k?"

         Alexis pulled away and smiled, "Thanks Kitty Cat."

         I scrunched my nose up, "I thought we agreed when we were ten that you would never call me that?" I asked in a serious tone and Alexis laughed.

        "I did again a week later and you pushed me off the couch." Alexis laughed and I laughed too.

        "Great you twp are friends now, let rainbows and puppies come," Damon told us doing jazz hands and I bared my fangs at him and broke a chair leg faster than he would have seen and threw it at him, "OW!"

        I smirked in his direction and leaned back in the chair. Honestly, I was getting mad at Damon and really annoyed, "Now continue without being a dick."

           "Fine, you are two are not going after Krystal. Stefan is..."

           "The hell we aren't! My parents and boyfriend are dead!" Alexis screamed and I winced.

           I looked over at Damon and saw the look in his eyes and sighed, "Alexis, I'm sorry for now we cannot go after her at this moment in time," I told her giving Damon a look that said "we'll talk so shut the hell up," and I looked back at Alexis who looked outraged and hurt, "Stefan was taken by Klaus and turned into something he hates, we need to rescue him first and I won't be of use to him evil or dead, frankly. I owe him a lot and he needs save and to be frank, I owe you crap."

      Alexis looked like I slapped her and she got up and stormed out the room, I sighed then Damon clapped me on the shoulder, "HOLY OUCH!" I shouted jumping up out of the chair, "I forgot about those damned bullets."

       Elena frowned at me, "I got shot, twice, with wooden bullets." I answered the un-asked question then added, "Killed the people who did it."

       "Come on Cat, we need to get them out, that big of an "ouch" means vervain and you look dead." Damon told me and I scowled at him but he put his hand out to me, "You could die, well for an original I have no clue..."

       "I'll just die who-knows-how-many-times-over..." I muttered and grabbed Damon's hand and he dragged me out of the room and into his, "Seriously?"

        Damon just smirked at me, "Come on, let's go in the bathroom...I'm not getting my bed full of blood because you got yourself shot."

        "I could easily get you shot." I muttered pursing my lips as Damon dragged me along with him then he lightly edged me toward the shower and grabbed the hem of my shirt and I spun around wincing but still yelled, "HEY!"

          Damon chuckled, "I have to see the bullet holes if I see something I haven't I'll throw a dollar at it Cat."

         I glared at him and my hand was engulfed in flames, "Try anything and you know what happens when vampires meet fire." I spat.

         Damon inched his face closer tell our noses were touching, "You wouldn't hurt me."

         The flame unintentionally died out of my hand and I looked into Damon's icy blue eyes that mirrored my green eyes showing my emotions that mirrored his own lust, "Damon...we can't." I told him pushing back lightly.

         "Catrina, I know you feel something." Damon told me grabbing my wrists, "I heard you crying yesterday."

             I visibly winced, "Damon...I...we...can't, I'm sorry. Stefan's gone..." I told him looking down.

             "Why not? What about love? What about us?"  Damon asked frowning lifting my chin up for I looked him in his icy blue eyes again.

              "We can't." I told him firmly, "If we get distracted Stefan could be lost forever and it will be my fault. Love is a vampires greatest weakness."

             "Catrina..." Damon muttered pushing my hair back behind my ear and I couldn't tear my gaze away, "you can't comprehend how much I love you."

              "I can, that is the problem and it hurts that I can. I want to let myself fall but if I do I'm afraid we won't save Stefan in the process." I muttered, "Can we just get the bullets out?"

               Damon turned me around and lifted up my shirt, I almost screamed as he grabbed the bullets out with some tweezers or gloved hands I couldn't tell which, damn vervain. Damon then turned me around and kissed me and I kissed him back not fighting, "We'll find Stefan even if we're together, I promise you that Catrina. I promise."

                 "I believe you."
