Chapter 11: Love Hurts

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------      My thoughts went completely and utterly hectic, I was currently pacing the lounge area. Damon, Elena, and Caroline were talking.

      "That's it!" I growled and thunderstruck outside. I went upstairs and grabbed a world map and went into my room, sealing the door shut with magic. I cut my finger and squeezed it on the map and muttered the spell when I opened my eyes the blood had tracked Krystal to New York City. I grabbed my bag and stuffed a few things inside then opened my door and headed downstairs toward the front door of the house and opened.

    "Cat, where are you going?" Damon asked me as he slammed the front door making Elena and Caroline jump, I could feel them looking at us. Damon stood in front of it blocking me from leaving.

    "To go find my sister." I answered, "Klaus said I was bluffing, well I wasn't."

    "Catrina that is a suicide mission! You said so yourself!" Damon growled, "I'm not letting you go and kill yourself!"

    "Well try and stop me, Damon." I spat, "I will compel you to let me leave. Klaus loves the Ripper side of Stefan and we both know Stefan hates it. This is my fault and I'm not going to let him turn into something he hates because of me."

    "Catrina," Damon told me grabbing my hands, "you cannot go! I can't lose you and  Stefan too!"

    "Why not? I'm not your sister." I told him hotly pulling my hands away swiftly and he grabbed them again but I got out again and pinned him up by his throat.

     "I care because I love you!" Damon shouted.

     "Well, maybe that's the problem!" I yelled back and threw him down with my heart breaking into tiny pieces. Damon looked like I had staked him, "Fine I won't go! Not because of you! But because Stefan won't be saved if I'm dead!"

       I stormed off and up to my room with Damon looking down at the hardwood floor with Elena and Caroline looking at me with sad faces as I left. I went upstairs and leaned against my wall, I put a spell up on my door so no one could come in. Tears silently poured down my face as I sat there thinking of what I said to Damon, I was not completely over Elijah's heartbreak yet and even though Klaus was a heartless bastard, I still believed, like Elijah he had humanity....somewhere.

        My phone rang and I was surprised to see it was Alexis and I hit ignore but she called back again and then I hit the ignore button again. Alexis called fifteen more times and I finally picked up, "What?" I snapped into the phone angrily, "I don't have time for an annoying bitch."

        "We need to put that behind us right now, I'm sorry I just...I just didn't want you to be dead." Alexis tried to reason.

          "Then you send me away?" I hissed into the phone angrily.

           "Rock Creek has a....bad history with vampires. I had to!" Alexis reasoned, "Please! Don...."

            Alexis was cut off with a scream and that was when I jumped out the window and ran to Rock Creek at top Original speed. I went back to Alexis's house and found blood and her parents body that was when I used a tracking spell to find her and tracked to an old farm outside of Rock Creek. I just gritted my teeth and ran to where the map told me.

           "GIVE ME THE ANNOYING BITCH YOU TOOK HOSTAGE!" I screamed and then two men came out holding Alexis by her shoulders and she had tears running down her face, "I'll kill you if you don't give me her!"

            "How could you, we'll snap the little witches neck like we drove the stake through his boyfriend's heart." The man told me and I growled and tears streamed down Alexis's face again this time. My anger rose, thunder struck the ground somewhere and wind blasted the side of the barn making it shake, the men looked scared, my head snapped back and I laughed then thrust my hands forward and two branches went through the chest of the people holding Alexis and the someone shot me in the leg with a wooden bullet and I hissed. I  threw my hand around and the gun was thrown down on the ground and then it shot into my hand and I shot him in the chest. Then another bullet penetrated my stomach and I fired again killing the other man.

          Then I ran to Alexis and grabbed her threw her on my back, then ran back to Mystic Falls with Alexis and carrying a gun. I put Alexis on the ground outside the front of the door, "Who the hell were they?"

       "I have no clue, they killed...him...they killed Skylar." Alexis cried and I sighed then the door swung open and Damon stood there he then looked me over his ice blue eyes completely and utterly worried when he saw how I looked, when he saw Alexis, anger took over his features and I instantly went in front of her and blocked Damon from snapping her neck.

           "I just saved her from getting her snapped neck, now please don't do it from when I just saved her." I told him, "I'm hungry, I'm angry, I'm hurt literally and emotionally, and trust me I would rather not have her here but as I just told you I saved her life."

           "Cat, it's okay. I'm fine. You know you used dark magic to save me right?" Alexis asked and my eyes widened and I turned around and gulped, "What's the matter?"

            "I think I know who killed Skylar..."

             "Who?!" Alexis asked.

             "My twin sister." I answered frowning.
