Chapter 16- Leave!
Bailey's POV
..............................
1 Month Later-
I could hear him yelling upstairs. His blood curdling screams. Screams of pain. Screams of anguish. Screams for me.
"Let me see her!" He shouted. "Let me fucking see her!"
That had been his most common request. I haven't talked to him, or seen him since I found out about the baby, and I didn't want to. I wanted to wait until he's okay. Until he's better, and until the other Harry is gone.
"How are you?" A deep voice asked.
I turned my head to see Josh standing in the kitchen doorway.
"I'm good." I smiled.
He chuckled and walked towards me, seeing right through my little act. "Tell me the truth." He demanded.
I sighed and rested my hand on my just barely visible baby bump. "I'm getting fatter." I complained.
He laughed and sat down beside me. "I can't tell."
I smiled and rubbed my stomach. "I can barely see it, thank god. But I can feel it. There's a little tiny bump right here." I said, pointing right above the hem of my leggings.
He looked down at my stomach, something I had grown quite used to since the other boys had found out. "I- um, h-how far along a-are you?" He asked nervously.
I laughed and covered my mouth.
"Is that how you ask? I've never, like, asked someone, well, like, a new mother that before..." He rambled.
"Yeah, that's how you ask." I told him with a reassuring smile. "I'm about nine weeks I think. That's what the test told me..."
"Any morning sickness, or any of those things?" He asked.
"Well, no morning sickness! But, there's the hungriness! Eleanor says that since the baby needs food too, my stomach is emptying itself faster, which is why I'm really hungry. I have a heightened sense of smell, so I have to leave the room when other people are cooking, and Zayn has to smoke outside instead of in the garage, and I can't put on perfume, those odors make me nocuous. And my boobs! Oh, my god. They feel like bricks. They are so heavy, and stupidly tender!" I grumble, making Josh blush. "I can barely go up the stairs because they bounce around and it hurts like hell! I have to get up every two hours during the night because I have to pee constantly, and I have major, and weird cravings. Although, Eleanor won't let me eat any of them because some foods are unhealthy for the baby." I whine.
"Oh." He breathed.
"Just wait until the second trimester," I smirked. "I'll have a lot more complaining to do then."
He grinned back at me, "El seems pretty pumped up about it..."
"Oh, my goodness yes!" I cackled. "She's practically killing herself because she can't buy clothes for the baby yet, because she doesn't know if its a boy or a girl. Although, she has occupied herself by stalking the kitchen with a cupboard specially for the baby, and buying a crib, and a change table. She's basically doing all the stuff that you don't need to know the gender of the child for." I rolled my eyes at the thought of it. "Her and Louis came up with a name to call the baby for the time being. It's Hailey!" I laughed.
Josh furrowed his brows, confused.
"Like Harry and Bailey mixed together, the Hailey baby!" I chuckled again.
Josh's smile faded at the mention of Harry's name, and I was left laughing.
I bit my lip uncomfortably. "It's been two months since I've seen Har-"
I was cut off by Josh's lips slamming onto mine. They felt unfamiliar and too different from Harry's, making me shy away immediately.
My complete and utter shock had left Josh stuttering for an explanation once I pulled away. Why the hell would he kiss me? "Josh," I scolded. "I-I'm married..."
"I'm sorry, I just had to do that, at least once..."
I sighed heavily and rushed away from him, and up the stairs, ignoring my sore breasts.
I need to tell Harry. I have to. This is something that I can't keep from him, because I'll know it will somehow come up again, and it will ruin everything. I've seen that kind of stuff happen too may times in movies, and books, and in real life.
I stopped in front of his door, well, practically his cell door, and knocked carefully.
Louis answered the door, and shock overtook his features.
"Can I see him?" I asked, tears forming in my eyes. "Please." I added.
"Of course." He stuttered, moving out of the way. "Just be prepared, he's in rough shape and kind of crazy right now."
Harry was laying on his side in a small cot in the corner of the room. His back faced the wall, and his bare chest glistened with sweat. His body and face were covered with soft bruises and his skin was pale, and his eyes a rusty brown. "Bailey..." He breathed.
I walked towards him, pushing the tears back. "Hi." I whispered. It hurt to imagine what Louis and Zayn were doing to him up here. Whipping him, starving him, beating him. Everything imaginable.
"I'll leave you two alone..." Louis stated quietly, closing the door.
Harry pushed himself up on his elbow, physically straining himself. "I missed you." He whimpered.
"Don't, lie down." I told him.
He did as commanded, and beckoned me towards him.
I hesitantly layed down beside him, making him smile.
"How are you?" I asked him.
"How am I? How about you, you're the pregnant one." He grinned.
"Harry, I'm serious." I ran my hand through his damp and sweaty hair.
"I'm fine." He frowned, avoiding my eyes.
"No, you're not." I observed.
"It's okay, I'll be fine. I'll get the through this." He told me.
Tear soaked my cheeks and he immediately kissed and wiped them away. His lips on me reminded me of what I had been loosing the past two months. How much I had missed him.
"Don't you dare cry." He demanded shutting his eyes and massaging his temples. "I deserve this. I let it take over again."
"What do you mean?" I sniffled.
"I can hear it right now, it's in my head, telling me to shut up. It's trying to tell me what to say, and do. It won't stop and I'm trying, ugh- I-
I can't- I can't block it out!"
He honestly looked crazy right now. Eyes shut tight, hands around his head.
"Leave!" He suddenly shouted, making me jump. "Get out of my head!" He screamed again. "Leave me alone!"
I vaguely remember hearing similar screams downstairs. "Harry, what's going on?"
His yelling changed to a frantic whisper. "Talk, Bailey. Talk. When you talk I can't hear it."
"Harry, listen to me." I said. "I don't know what to say..."
"Leave!" He bitterly screamed. "Talk, Bailey. Ask me questions, tell me a story, please anything. Get it out of my head."
I guess I know what Louis meant by crazy now. I bit my lip, and rubbed his tattoo covered shoulders. "Zayn told me a story the other day, Harry." I soothed.
He nodded his head, and his breathing slowed.
"It was about you, and how you came to be a vampire. The story about your brother."
He nodded slowly, and twitched a little.
"Tell me about him, Harry."
He opened his eyes and blinked, eyes focusing on me. "His name was Hayden. He was three years older than me. He had a girlfriend, and when they broke up, he fell apart. He was all depressed, and he never talked or anything. I followed him out one day, because I saw him take a gun from my fathers nightstand. He tried to shoot himself, but he shot me instead, not much to tell." He blankly replied.
"How come you never mentioned it?" I asked him.
"I don't like to talk about it. He was my best friend. I lost him." He mumbled.
"I'm sorry, Harry."
"Can we talk about something else? Please?'' He pleaded.
"Of course. What do you want to talk about?"
A small smile turned up the corners of his lips, and I smiled with him. "How about we talk about you, mommy?" Hr grinned.
I giggled as he flipped me over with what little strength he had, and placed his hand over my tiny little bump.
"Small bump." He smiled, looking genuinely happy. He peeled my tank top and sweater away from the skin before he started to rub it, over and over again.
He placed a small kiss right below my belly button. "This is your daddy speaking," he smirked up at me. "I can't wait to see you, baby girl. I'm so exciting for you to come. You have the best mommy in the world, and there's no doubt you're going to be just as gorgeous as her." He smiled before continuing. "Hurry up and grow fast so we can pop you out and have a look at you, love you lots, baby."
I threw my head back my laughter at the last part as Harry straightened himself up, and cuddled into my side, never taking his hand off my belly. For the first time, I actually felt excited to be a mom. Hearing Harry call me mommy made the name grow on me...
"So it's a girl?" I teased.
"Yes." He stated. "I can feel it."
I chucked and moved into him more.
"I'm sorry, Bailey. I'm so sorry." He said.
Although he didn't say it specifically, I knew what he was talking about. "Don't apologize. It wasn't you."
"I killed people in front of you, I got you pregnant for fucks sake! I'm going to apologize."
"No swearing around the baby." I teased trying to change the subject.
"I'm serious, Bailey." He warned.
"I know, I know. I forgive you. I don't want to talk about this, let's just drop it, move on."
He rolled his eyes, but moved off the subject.
"Is it gone?" I asked him, keeping in mind what I came here to do.
"Yes. Thank god." He replied.
"Good, because I have to tell you something..."
"What is it?" He asked innocently.
"Josh, he um- he kissed me..." I said, barely audible, not sure if he could make out my words.
But once his eyes changed shades, and he jumped up, I knew he had heard me.
"That bastard."
