Alissa's POV
The last real scene I had in my head was when Louis ran at me. Everything from then on was a blur. I had provoked him, and I shouldn't have. I knew he has a short temper but still, I chose to carry on annoying him until he finally snapped. It's my fault that the others are angry at him, when they should be angry with me. My eyes still wouldn't open, no matter how hard I tried to lift them. It was as if sand bags where laying on top of my eye lids, holding them down so I couldn't see. My hearing was just as bad. I couldn't understand any of the noises I could hear, they were muffled and confusing. People where around me, I just didn't know who.
I lay still, giving up on the hope that I would soon have control over my body again. However that didn't happen. I was in darkness, I wasn't unconscious but I wasn't moving. What if I am dead?
My heart beat grew faster at the thought of being dead. What if Louis had killed me? What if this was the way I would remain forever, in a never ending pitch black world? I felt myself starting to panick as I tried harder to lift an arm, I couldn't do it, which frustrated me and scared me even more.
Muffled sounds returned. My mouth was pried open gently and something was poured in. It tasted sour and metallic, making my stomach turn even more than it already was. More was put in my mouth, forcing me to swallow the first mouthful of horrible liquid. My body relaxed as the drink settled in my stomach. I suddenly felt lighter and at peace. My breathing started normally again and feeling was coming back into my limbs and body. The numb heavy feeling began to frizzle away, tingling taking over my body. Opening my eyes still showed to be a challenge but I finally caught sight of brightness as my eyes opened half way. I was blinded instantly, shutting them closed again, automatically lifting my now moveable arms to sheild my eyes.
I tried to open my eyes, being aware of the light. Once I had full vision back, a face popped up in front of me.
Harry grinned from ear to ear saying, "Alissa!! Finally you're awake, we've been so worried."
I opened my mouth to speak but a croak was the only thing that flew from my mouth. My throat was raw and swollen, like a terrible cold you would get in the winter season.
"Don't speak Al, it will make you're throat worse." Someone said. I turned my head in the direction of the voice, seeing niall perched up on the desk that sat in the corner of the room.
"Liam and..uh..Louis should be home soon, I suspect." Harry mumbled. "Although I didn't agree, Liam insisted he go find Louis."
"He's a twat." Niall mumbled from his side of the room. I didn't appreciate the attitude they now had towards one of their best friends. Sure I had been annoyed at him for not giving me the full story, but that doesn't mean I don't care about him..
"It was me." I croaked, gently rubbing my throat, "I annoyed him on purpose."
"It's ok, we will all talk later, you need to rest." Harry told me, smiling kindly. Although I wanted to get up and apoligize to Louis, I didn't disagree with him, I was tired, even though I had been 'sleeping' for goodness knows how many hours.
I woke up about an hour later, my head felt better without the constant throbbing pain inside it. My throat ached, but as harry had said, sleep had helped it heal along with the horrible red liquid I had been given before I awoke the first time. I didn't dare leave the bed, anxious that my weak legs would give way. However I was curious to know if Louis had came back. Ignoring the voice in my head that warned me not to leave the comfort of the warm covers, I carefully pulled myself out of bed. I stumbled forwards as the weight of my body suddenly over powered the strength of my legs. I grabbed the night stand, steadying myself before gently shuffling to the door. I laughed for a second at how daft I must have looked, but I didn't really care.
I reached the stairs, decided to sit down and take each step as it came. The thudding I made as I hit the next step with my butt, echoed around the tiled house. Harry came running to the bottom of the stairs, sighing in relief when he realized i hadn't fallen down the steps, something that he had probably imagined happening.
"What are you doing?!" He shrieked, jogging up the stairs with ease, making me jealous of his mobility.
"I'm going down the stairs what does it look like?" I replied, continuing my journey. He grabbed me from behind as I passed him, but i was quickly pulled back up, his strength being shown in that one quick move.
"I'll carry you down before you break your neck." He pulled me to his chest gently smiling at me before lifting me bridal style, walking back down.
"Thanks, but I could have managed." I told him. "Is louis back yet?"
His grip tightened slightly at the mention of louis' name.
"I don't know why you are so interested in him because of what he done, but if you must know, he is back. As of now he's lounging on that sofa like he done absolutely nothing." He paused, "That prick."
I frowned, "He's still your friend Harry."
The guilt I'd forgotten on my quest to come down stairs was creeping back up on me. I knew what I had done, and louis was getting the blame.
"I don't care. He shoul-" He sighed, "It doesn't matter, I've already said what I think and you don't care."
"i do care, but i think you should cut him some slack, you know?" I replied, trying the take away some of the anger harry held for louis. I poked him on the cheek, hoping to maybe lighten his mood. It didnn't work.
"I don't know." He bluntly replied. We reached the living room, louis' head shot up as we entered the room. When he saw i couldn't walk a sympathetic yet angered look took over his face.
I smiled at him, showing that I wasn't that angry with him. Even though I did slightly want an apology. Harry sat down on the couch, not making any indication to move me of off his knees.
"Uh..Can I talk to you Al?" He muttered, ignoring the horrible look Harry was giving him when he spoke.
"No you won't she needs to rest." Harry replied for me. The tension soared up, making me feel uncomfortable.
I shuffled out of harry's grip, steadying myself on his shoulder before speaking. "I'll be in the kitchen, I'm sure Liam would maybe like some help with food."
I needed something to let me escape the inevitable argument that was about to begin. I didn't feel like witnessing an angry louis as well as an fuming harry. I took careful steps to the small cabin kitchen, finding Liam cooking me food.
"Hi." I mumbled, taking a seat at the wooden two seated table. "Please don't be annoyed with Louis."
I pleaded him, I can't see another one of the only people important in his life exclude him too.
Liam took his attention of the cooker and smiled in my direction. "Don't worry, I'm only slightly pissed of. I think you should talk to him, he needs to tell you something."
My brain began working at all the possibilities of what he was keeping from me. I asked liam.
"Not for me to tell sorry Al." He replied with. We didn't speak much about the incident or about what louis wanted to tell me. We found interest in the story I began to tell about when I was younger, I had set the kitchen on fire. My mother had been furious at me after the fire had been put out, telling me I should know not to leave a plastic plate on the cooker.
Apparently these were the stories Liam loved. The ones that seemed to embarrass me most.
