Crash and Burn

"God, I told him to stay away!" justin shouted as he examined the car.

"What are you talking about Justin? Explain what's happening." I told him with a concerned voice.

"I owe this guy some money and he said that if i didn't pay him soon, I would be sorry." justin explained.

"What do you owe him money for? You said you were done with the drugs." I told him.

"Listen Courtney, it's not that. I have everything together." he said sounding irritated.

"Uhm clearly you don't. Your car window is busted out." I said.

"This is the last you will see of him. Of everything. You just have to trust me baby." he said as he leaned in for a kiss.

I was irritated but after everything he had done for me today, I granted him with a kiss.

"So what now?" I asked him.

"I'll call my mom to come get us and we'll get us and bring some things to clean up the shattered window." Justin said.

"And what exactly are you gonna tell her about this situation?" I asked him.

"We'll say that I slammed the door too hard." he said.

I laughed at his stupid response.

"uhm no, that'll never work." I said.

"well do you have a better idea?" he asked.

"Say some little kid was playing around with a football and it hit your window." I said.

"oh like that's any better. who plays football in a parking garage?" justin said.

"well I have nothing else. let's just clean up the mess ourselves and don't tell your mom." I said.

"and drive around town without a window? what if we see her?" justin said.

"the repair shop is just a few miles away. well make it." I reassured him.

"okay, you just wait in the passenger, I got us into this, I'll clean it up." he said.

"thanks babe." I said with a smirk.

I sat in the car and opened the console for a tissue, but I found a note.

Should I read it? it's really none of my business, but after what just happened, I deserve an explanation. so I opened it...
