COURTNEY'S POV:
I woke up the next day just as miserable as yesterday. But I'm tired of feeling this way. I can't let him get in the way of my life. I need to let him go. I got out of bed and went downstairs to grab something to eat. It was Saturday so I didn't have school. I poured some cereal and milk into a bowl and scrolled through twitter as I ate. My phone buzzed and I got a message from Cam.
"Hey I know how you've been feeling lately and I was wondering if I could take you out for a girls day today. Shopping, lunch, and maybe a movie."
I replied: "That sounds amazing. I need to get out. I'll be at your house around 1."
I finished up my breakfast and got in the shower. I washed my hair and body and got out. I put on some tight skinny jeans with a few holes and a crop top. I went over to my mirror and did my makeup, blow dried my hair, and straightened it. I let my long brunette hair fall on my back. I went back to my closet and put on a leather jacket over my top. And put on my white converse. I was ready to go.
I went to Cam's and then we drove to the mall together. We shopped for about an hour and then went to Olive Garden.
"What would you like to drink ma'am?" the waiter asked.
"I'll have a coke." I replied.
"me too." Cam said.
"So how are you holding up?" Cam asked me.
"It's still really hard, but some things take time." I said.
"I understand. But you have me and I'm always there for you." Cam said.
"I know. Thanks for everything Cam." I told her.
"That's what bestfriends are for." She said.
"We got our food when I heard an all too familiar voice. I looked to my right across the restaurant and saw Justin. Damn.
"Oh my god Camryn, Justin is here." I said, trying not to make a scene.
"Where?!" she said in a scream but whisper.
"Over there." I pointed.
"Who is he with?" She asked.
"I don't know, it looks like Pattie but I don't think it is." I was looking hard over there when he turned his head and we locked eyes. I couldn't look away. He waved at me which broke me from my gaze and I shot my eyes back at Cam.
"Let's go." I said.
JUSTIN'S POV:
That was awkward. I thought to myself as I saw Camryn and Courtney exit the restaurant. I didn't tell my mom about her being there because she would try to talk to them and make it all awkward. So I just let it go and continued to eat. I don't even know how I feel towards her anymore. I have so many emotions right now. But I do know one thing. I need to talk to Jason. Soon. So i dialed his number as soon as I got in my car.
"Hey man, can we meet-up?" I asked Jason over the phone.
"yeah. 1121 Myall Drive. Behind the old church." Jason replied.
"Okay. Sounds good."
I hung up after that and got my clothes on. Within an hour I was at the church. I got out of my Range Rover and walked to the entry of the torn down door. Jason was sitting in there smoking a cigarette.
He turned around when he heard my footsteps.
"What's going on? Why'd you need to see me?" Jason asked.
"You know that note you left in my car a few weeks ago?" I asked.
"Yeah. What about it?" he asked.
"Well me and Courtney broke up and this is sounding more and more better everyday." I told him.
"Are you telling me you want to go through with it? This is serious and once you're in, you can't back out." Jason said in a stern tone. There were a few moments of silence.
"I'm in." I finally spoke.
Courtney was the one holding me back. But now no one is stopping me.
