Wolf walks to the old barn where the hover is, carrying three bins full of tomatoes. He's holding back on eating every last one of Scarlet's delicious tomatoes. He knows if he even tries to eat a few Scarlet will be raging. She's bringing the order to a customer tomorrow, and she wants to do it as quickly as possible.
He puts the bins in the trunk then goes inside to the kitchen. Scarlet's frying tomatoes to go with their chicken alfredo. She looks at him and smiles.
"I'm almost done, go ahead and set the table," she instructs.
Wolf grabs two plates, two cups, and silverware. He sets them on the table then carefully fills the cups with water. Scarlet brings in the food and puts it in the center of the table. They sit across from each other.
"Thank you for cooking," Wolf says.
"My pleasure. Thanks for setting up the table," Scarlet replies.
He smiles and fills his plate.
Scarlet puts a little bit of alfredo and a tomato on her plate. She never eats much, and Wolf hates it.
"What time are you leaving tomorrow?" Wolf asks.
He knew exactly what time she leaves, and when she'd return, but he wanted to seem as clueless as possible so she doesn't suspect a thing.
"I'm leaving at noon and it's a half hour drive. I'll be as quick as I can but that woman loves to hear herself talk," she explains.
"Alright."
"Do you mind feeding the chickens and checking the plants tomorrow morning for me?"
"Not at all."
She smiles at him.
After they eat they clean up.
Scarlet washes the dishes while Wolf cleans the table.
"Thanks for helping out so much every day Wolf," Scarlet says, throwing the dish towel over her shoulder.
"No need to thank me. I love living here with you," he replies.
She smiles.
"It's nice having some help around here. Especially from someone so dear to me."
He looks at her. She goes over and kisses his cheek.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Scarlet asks.
He nods. Watching movies is one of their favorite things to do together.
They go into the living room and Scarlet puts in a movie. She then grabs the blanket and snuggles up against Wolf. He puts his arm around her.
"Want a snack?" Scarlet asks.
"Please," Wolf says.
She smiles and gets up. She goes to the kitchen and comes back with tomato chips.
Wolf has to swallow back his saliva so he doesn't drool.
She sits down and they share from the big bowl. She eventually hands it over to him and leans on him. Only when the movies over does he realize she fell asleep.
He turns off the tv then puts the food away.
He goes back to the living room and picks her up, carrying her to their room. They started sleeping together a month ago. It was awkward at first, but they got used to it.
Wolf lays Scarlet down then lays next to her. He holds her close.
"I love you," he whispers.
Wolf sighs. He closes his eyes and goes to sleep.
