Guys just saying Amber's PoV is gonna get a little dark/sad. So yeah.
Barely previewed. I'm feeling stressed tbh. So go easy on my mitsakes, plaese.
~ Amber ~
After we parted ways, I had to laugh out loud. I hadn't been in my house for a few months. I wondered what happened to it.
I climbed up the stairway. My house was a typical style in this town, birch wood planks (although most were oak) with oak wood on the edges. The redstone light above the dark oak door remained unlit.
I opened the door, breathing in the air. It was just like I left it. The couch and chair still faced the small tv, the kitchen remained untouched. When I went into the bathroom, nothing had been out of place. My bedroom was exactly the same, my bed was still made, my books on the shelves were no different.
But then again, I don't know what I expected. That they'd rent my room off to someone? That they'd destroy the whole place?
My stomach growled. I opened the fridge up. There was nothing inside. I guess I should've seen that coming. They couldn't have just let food rot in an abandoned fridge.
I sighed and shut the fridge. I walked over to my bedroom. My feet shuffled against the green carpet. I collapsed on my bed, finally realizing how exhausted I was. I didn't even bother putting the covers over me. Soon enough, I fell asleep.

My nightmare was the same as usual. But this time, it felt more real.
"Mom!"
I was my little 11 year old girl self. I had never experienced this dream from a first person point of view, always looking on from the side. I felt the emotions I had 5 years ago. Pain, depression, anxiousness, despair, confusion. I felt the ground on my running feet, soft crunches on the leaves. I felt the breeze on my face, whipping my long hair against my face as I ran through the trees. Trying to find her.
I could barely see in the dark. Usually the night sky would grant some light, but nope. No stars or moon. The only thing that emitted light was a wispy, silver fog that clung to the ground, crawling everywhere.
"Mom!" I called again. I had just saw her. Where did she go?
I heard a zombie growl, and ran faster. I wasn't supposed to be there alone and unequipped. But I needed to find Mom.
"Please! I need you!" I stopped and spun in a circle. I stopped when I saw something different. A silvery light between the trees, about 50 blocks away. There was a figure.
I could tell it was her. "Mom!"
My footsteps pounded against the ground. I sprinted as fast as I could to get to her. However, I tripped on something in the dark, and fell to the ground. The pain on my hands and knees felt so real. I spit grass out of my mouth, and wiped the dirt off of my face. But the tears made some stick on.
I looked up and saw the figure walking to me. She was a beautiful lady, with long brown hair like mine, and dark skin. The long, dark blue dress she had on slowly blew in the breeze.
"Mommy..." Tears streamed down my face. "I'm so sorry."
She slowly grabbed my hand and lifted me to my feet. She wiped my face. There was a sad smile, and she had tears as well.
"Amber." She kissed my forehead. "My beautiful baby girl. None of this was your fault."
"Why do you have to go...?" I choked.
