"Wanted posters?"
"Those never work."
"We can go to the police station and..."
"And what? File for a murder that didn't happen in this city?" I slowly paced around the hotel room. "Plus, we're teenagers. They'd never take us seriously."
Sky sighed, sitting on his bed. I did a lip shrug in guilt. He was trying to help, yet I was shutting down every idea he had. I was the one who dragged him into the situation in the first place.
"I'm sorry." I looked out the window into the city. We got a pretty cheap hotel, so the view wasn't the best. We got a single room with three beds (I played the 'we're siblings' card which was returned with a raised eyebrow from the manager), but I wasn't worried about sharing with Sky. I trusted him.
"Don't be." He shook his head in thought. "Maybe... we can go to the busiest train station; see if we find anyone that looks suspicious."
"We're just going to spend all day there?" I winced after I said the negative comment. "I'm not sure how this is going to work."
"Well the only other option I can think of is doing something illegal." He paused. "Which we're not going to do."
I thought about the options. Then, I started to smile.
"Uh oh." Skye scooted away from me. "That's a scary look."
"I partially agree with your idea. We need to pay a visit to the train station."

"Hello." I walked to one of the people at the desks. I chose a young lady who seemed emotionally unstable and easy to manipulate. Well that sounded bad when I thought about it.
The blonde smiled. "Hello there. Can I help you two? Are you lost?"
"Yes, um." I took a fake shaky breath. "Our uncle. He was staying with us for a few days. He's a returning veteran from the army. We were supposed to receive word that he made it home safely, but we haven't heard anything. I'm worried about him. Have you seen a middle aged man in a black trench coat? Most likely a bow on his back?" I chuckled. "He never goes anywhere without it."
She frowned, and thought about it. "I, I don't believe I have. I'm very sorry for not being of further help."
"Is your shift throughout the whole day? Is there a time where you weren't here and the place is open?"
"Actually..." She pointed to another lady. "Jackie over there takes the shift right after mine. And she's more observant than me. You can ask her."
"Thank you." I smiled, and walked away.
"I'll keep my eyes open!" She called after us. "Come back later!"
