Chapter 2
---Lilaka's POV

I was glad to have seen the love of my life. I have protected him from bullies. I know this sounds mean but I am kind of glad Otis shot him. I mean yeah he is dying but I know Hershel will fix him up. I just love him and will always have hope in him.

Flashback
"Baby, your daddy got shot on the job." my mom said kneeling down in front of me. I couldn't help myself i burst into tears. I couldn't take it he just couldn't die on me like that. My mama hugged me tight crying herself. "Mama I know Daddy is gonna live. I just know it!" I yelled at my mother. "Carl Shane saw the line go flat!" my mama yelled back at me.

-----Lori's POV
"Rick I am still so glad your still alive. God if you died I just don't know what I would do." I said Rick crying on his shoulder later that night. "I am just glad Carl is still alive," Rick replied back.

------Lilaka's POV
3 Days Later

I just couldn't leave his side so I sat there and held his hand. I ended up falling asleep like that. But then Bonnie walked in, she probably came in later that night and took me up to my room.

I know she knows that's the Carl I always talk about because when our parents couldn't come to school plays she would and she would come into my class and I would always show her which one he was. I am still surprised that Rick and Lori haven't noticed it was me here too! When I got up the next morning I went downstairs to Carl's bed, but he was GONE!
I ran up to Hershel and asked him where Carl was and he pointed to a small tent. I ran to the tent and he was there. I was sooo happy to see he was walking now. I mean yeah it has been three days and all he would ever say is "Can I have some water?" or "Good night." then he would pass back out.

"Carl do you remember me?" I asked him. He turned around and looked at me for a couple minutes then "Hey aren't you Lilaka, the girl that always saved me from being bullied?" OMG he remembers me. So he did know who I was. I was so ecstatic. "Yes I am!" I replied. "Where's you parents? Or is it just you and Bonnie?" he asked. "It's just me and Bonnie" I sighed "our parents get eaten by a heard of walkers." I started to cry.
