Chapter 2

"Stacy, I'm just asking you to schedule me a meeting with my Tito. Is it that hard to do?"

"I'm really sorry sir. Fully booked na po kasi ang schedule ng Tito niyo, I tried asking her secretary na maisingit kayo kahit sandali lang po pero..."

"You know what, just forget about it. I will just drop by his office tomorrow. Wala naman na siyang magagawa kapag andun na ako. Thank you for the effort Stacy."

"You're welcome sir."

Pagkababa ng cell phone ay nagpakawala ng buntong hininga ang binata.

"I hope everything will work out as planned."

"Good mor...." Bati sana ng secretary pero hindi siya pinansin ng binata. Dire-diretso ito papasok sa opisina.

"Good morning Tito Vic." Bati ng binata na hindi man lang naisip na kumatok muna bago pumasok

Tila nagulat naman si Vic dahil hindi niya inaasahang makikita niya ang kanyang pamangkin ng umagang iyon.

"Good morning. What brought you here hijo? My secretary did not told me that we will be having a meeting this early. Have a seat." Sabi ni Vic habang abala siya sa pagpirma at pagbasa ng mga kontrata

"Hindi na po ako magpapaligoy-ligoy Tito. I will just ask one big favor from you." Diretsong sabi ng binata

Tinigil ni Vic ang kanyang mga ginagawa at binigay ang atensyon sa kanyang pamangkin, "Let's hear it. But be sure it will be quick, I still have a ton of work to do as you can see."

"Ok. I know... I mean, I heard this girl in a bar where I was hangin' out last last night. She has this very beautiful and powerful voice that no one can resist. And everytime she sings, she captures the hearts of her audience. And to tell you Tito Vic, she is not only a beautiful voice, but a very beautiful woman as well. Prim and proper. Very respectful to her audience and very appreciative of them. I know this may be too much, but I was just thinking that maybe you can sign her as one of your artist."

"And what made you think that I will like her? Remember hijo, I am looking for a game changer here. I have been spending the last year looking for that one exceptional talent that will bring back the haydays of this company. How sure are you that this woman is the one that I am looking for? How sure are you that she is the perfect fit for the missing piece of this company?" Seryosong tanong ni Vic

"Aside from her talent, she is simple yet very relatable to everyone. I know it may be premature to say, but I believe that she is really it. She is the one."

"Are you really sure about this girl? Or have you been biten by the love bug, once again?" Nakangising tanong ni Vic

"No. Sigurado ako sa sinasabi ko Tito. Siya yung matagal mo ng hinahanap. At handa akong itaya ang pangalan at reputasyon ko para sa kanya. And if you think that I got this one wrong, I will reimburse everything that you have or will invest on her."

Tumango si Vic, "Ok then. Pagbibigyan kita, tutal ngayon ka lang naman humingi ng pabor sa akin."

Lumapit ang binata at niyakap ang kanyang tito, "Thank you so much tito. Salamat talaga."

"Ngayon din lang kasi kita nakitang ganito kapursigido sa isang bagay. I bet that you really want it."

Bumitaw sa pagkakayakap ang binata, "You're right. I badly want this. Ito na kasi yung pagkakataon kong bumawi sa taong ito." Nakangiting sabi niya

Medyo nagulat si Vic sa sinabi ng pamangkin, "Oh, so you personally know this girl, huh, John Lloyd?"

Tumango si John Lloyd, "Opo. At siya ang pinakatalented at pinakamagandang babaeng nakilala ko sa buong buhay ko."
