Jia's POV:
"He's getting really distant.." Renjun mumbled to me, before taking a bite of his sandwich and I nodded, looking towards the couple, who sat a few tables away from me and Renjun.
"Yeah, I know, Mark told me.. They've been together for how long? A month and a half? How could he be so attached to her?" I heard Renjun sigh, but my gaze didn't leave Chenle and Yeoreum.
"You're attached to him as much, as he's attached to her." Renjun stated, making me look at him and he gave me a small smile.
"I guess, you're right.."
"I know, I'm right." He sent me another smile as the bell rang.
"If only you were a year older." He pulled me into a quick hug, before walking to class, but I didn't want to go to class and I just stood there for a moment.
"Jia, are you coming?" I heard Chenle's voice for the first time today and I nodded my head, before running towards the couple.
"I haven't talked to you all day!" Chenle ruffled my hair, making Yeoreum scoff and grab his arm, which made him turn his attention towards her again.
"I know, when are you free? We should hang out again soon!" I said, this time in Chinese, making a grin appear and he nodded.
"Let's sit together!" Yeoreum exclaimed when we had reached the classroom and sat down in my usual seat, making a pout form on my face.
"But that's my seat.."
"I don't see your name anywhere." She sent me a glare and I rolled my eyes, before grabbing the seat right behind the two.
Chenle sent me an apologetic look, but before he could say anything, the teacher walked in and the couple intertwined hands.
"That should've been me." I whispered, looking down.

"I don't like that Yeoreum girl, she totally snatched Chenle away from us! We were going to practice today." Mark crossed his arms as I nodded, agreeing with him completely.
"You're only agreeing, because you like him." Donghyuck stated, making me shake my head.
"She likes him, but she doesn't like Yeoreum either, Yeoreum isn't that nice towards her." Renjun explained, before I could, making Donghyuck nod.
"If he continues like this, we won't be able to practice, because we will be missing him." Mark rubbed his face and I patted his shoulder.
"It's going to be okay, I'll be your new Chenle." I joked, trying to cheer him up and it worked, since he let out a laugh.
"Girl, have you heard Chenle sing? I'd like to see you hit those notes!" Donghyuck snapped his fingers, before letting out a laugh and I scoffed.
"I just wanted to hang out with you guys, I feel so attacked right now!"
"You should feel attacked." Donghyuck said satisfied and Jeno let out a sigh, making all of us turn to him.
"Seriously, what can we do? We can't make them break up, we're not that mean." I shrugged at Jeno and he sighed.
"I don't know, Jeno.."
"Maybe someone should talk to him.." As the words had left Jaemin's mouth, all the guys turned their head towards me.
"I don't think I ca-"
"Please Jia, you're his best friend." Jisung interrupted me and looked at me with big eyes.
"Fine.. But I don't even know what to say." I exclaimed and Mark shrugged.
"Just tell him that, just because he has a girlfriend now, doesn't it mean he can skip practice." While Mark was talking, I was already walking towards the door and I gave them a thumbs up, before walking out of the practice room.
I started heading towards Chenle's house, because I remember him telling me, that the two were going to hang out there.
As I walked by the beach, which was almost right beside Chenle's house, I heard a too familiar voice talking.
"What is she doing?" I saw Yeoreum standing against a tree, not that far from where I was standing and I walked slightly closer.
"He doesn't know anything." She let out a snicker and I frowned.
"I should feel bad, but I really don't, he really likes me, which is amazing, because if I want a bag or something, he'll buy it for me." I crossed my arms as I felt anger growing inside me.
"If I like him? Why should I? He just debuted, you know? He's really popular, which makes me really popular as well! I would've went for one of the others, but he was the easiest."
It was like I lost control of my body and I walked up in front of her, before snatching the phone out of her hands.
I hung up for her, before looking at her and she glared at me.
"Are you using Chenle?" I exclaimed and she reached out for her phone, but I hid it behind my back, making her roll her eyes.
"I think you know the answer to that question. Can I get my phone back now?" I let out an annoyed laugh, before looking up.
"Why would you do something like that? He really likes you!" She shrugged, looking at her nails, before reaching her hand out.
"It's fun, can I get my phone?"
"We're not done talking! You think it's fun? To use a person, who genuinely likes you? What kind of horrible human being, are you?" She scoffed while crossing her arms.
"I didn't mean it like that! It's fun to get all the things I want, it's fun to be popular." She smirked at me, before tilting her head and I tightened the grip on her phone slightly.
"How long were you going to do this?" After asking her that, she shrugged.
"I'm going to continue with the act, until I get bored of him, not like he is that interesting.."
"You can't continue that act forever, you know?" She let out a laugh, before grabbing my arm and snatching her phone back.
"What are you going to do? Tell him?" She raised one of her eyebrows and I shrugged, while holding back the urge to punch her.
"You can't stop me from telling him." She let out another annoying laugh, before shaking her head.
"How cute.. Do you really think he'll believe his best friend instead of his girlfriend? Like you said, he genuinely likes me. So him believing you is very unlikely."
