Chenle's POV:

"Hey Chenle, have you eaten today?" Was the first thing Jia asked me, when she arrived at school and I shook my head, making her pout as she took the seat beside me.

"Here, I didn't expect you to have eaten, so I got you an.. Apple!" She clapped and I felt the corner of my lips curve up slightly as she placed the green apple on my table.

Every time I had hung out with her, I felt all happy and didn't think about Yeoreum, but as soon as I arrived at school again, I felt sad.

"Don't just look at it, eat it! Or else I'll feed you!" She warned, but to be honest, it didn't sound too bad and I opened my mouth slightly. "You're really going to make me feed you an apple?" I nodded my head and she laughed, before shaking her head and grabbing the apple.

"Why are we friends?" Not giving me a chance to answer, she almost smashed the apple in my face and I couldn't help but laugh, before grabbing the apple myself.

"Wow, an apple made you happier, I'll remember that from now on." She teased with a wink and I felt myself freeze as she turned towards the blackboard.

"Why hasn't the teacher arrived yet?" She asked, turning to me and she gave me an odd look, when she looked st me.
"Why's your face all red?" Quickly, I placed my hand on my cheeks to feel them burning and I looked away as she chuckled.

"You're cute.." I heard her mumble and I turned towards the blackboard as the teacher walked into the classroom.

Jia's POV:

"Are you going to drag me to practice once again?" He nodded as he started packing his things and I smiled slightly, before packing as well.

"Don't you think the guys are tired of me watching you guys?" He shrugged, before looking up at me and I noticed how his face had turned slightly pink.
"I don't really care, I want you there, so they better get used to seeing you." He replied, swinging his backpack over his shoulder and I copied his actions, before the both of us made our way towards the school gates.

A few feet away from the gates, I stopped as I spotted Renjun talking to someone and I stopped Chenle, nodding towards him.
"Isn't that the new girl from their class, he's talking to?" His question made me shrug and I took a few steps closer. He was standing with his hands in his pockets and looking at the ground, while talking but unfortunately, I couldn't hear what he was saying.

When he finally looked up, I saw how his face had turned red and he had this smile on his face as he talked to her, just like I had seen Chenle, when he had talked with Yeoreum.

"He's going to replace you." Chenle cooed in my ear, before snickering as I threw a punch at him, but missed and he shook his head.
"I was just joking." I looked at Renjun and the girl once again only to see the girl hand him a piece of paper and they both went in different directions.

When he had reached us, I couldn't help but let a smirk crawl onto my face.

"So, who was that girl?" All three of us started walking and his face reddened, before he looked down with a small chuckle.

"She started in our class today. Her name is Yoojung and she just moved, so she isn't that familiar with the school and such. We then agreed to meet up sometime, so I can show her around the city." Nodding slowly, I elbowed him in the stomach slightly.

"Is she nice? She looked really pretty from where I was standing." He chuckled once again, before shrugging his shoulder and he looked away from me.

"I do not like her, if that's what you think.."

"Your face says otherwise." I stated, which made his face turn one shade darker and I heard Chenle clear his throat.

"We have arrived, if you two didn't notice." He said rather rudely and I turned to him.

He looked a bit mad, but also.. Sad? Disappointed? Something like that..

"You okay?" Renjun asked, looking behind him and just then did I notice, that we somehow had pushed Chenle behind the two of us.
"Just fine." He kind of hissed through gritted teeth and I stopped in pace, so he could catch up to us.

"Why don't you just walk with your new best friend?" He mumbled and I sighed, before linking my arm with his. I looked at Renjun who smiled and quickened his pace and soon he was out of sight.

"He might be a close friend, but you Chenle, you're my bestest friend!" I exclaimed, hugging his arm and I looked up at him, to see a small smile on his lips.
"You're not seriously jealous of Renjun, are you?" His face turned pink as he shook his head and I giggled, before letting go of his arm.

"I'm just a bit sensitive, you know?" I nodded at his quiet words and we walked to the practice room in silence.

"Are you ready for Donghyuck to exclaim some weird remark, when you walk into the practice room?" I couldn't help but laugh at his question and I nodded my head as he opened the door.

"And she's here again." Donghyuck sighed and I rolled my eyes, before walking up to him, but to my surprise, he was a lot taller than me.

"You wanna fight?" I asked jokingly as I felt the eyes of six others on the two of us and he rolled his eyes with a smirk.
"What are you gonna do, shortie?" I scoffed and walked towards Chenle again.

"Love you too, Jia!" He shouted and I saw Chenle freeze slightly, before shaking his head and mumbling something under his breath.

"What was that?" I asked, making him shake his head and smile at me.

"Nothing." I nodded slowly and sat down in my usual spot when I heard Chenle mumble something, which I probably shouldn't have heard.

"She's my best friend, not his. She's mine."
