*Somewhere in Brooklyn, NY*

“Boss, we got the file, our guy came through.” One of the men said as they approached Delgado. He turned around smirking, “Oh did you? It’s so nice to hear that someone can do their job.” he stated turning to face his son.

Angel Delgado was a man of wealth, of course he was a notorious crime boss with his hands in all sorts of illegal business trade. When he had heard that the FBI were searching around the border and saw that one of his shipments had been compromised and lost, he got pissed. So he gathered all the information he could, and found out who exactly had stopped him, and relayed the information to Carlos via cellphone.

Not long after he had heard that Elliot’s family had gone off the grid did he send his one and only son, Diago after Olivia.

They called Diago “Papi”, not because of any cute childhood story, but because he was first to test the new “merchandise”, Delgado called it, and almost every time he did that, someone ended up pregnant.

Delgado wanted Olivia to talk, knew that his son would be the one to break her, or at least that’s what he thought, but he came back empty handed, and shortly after that, Olivia went off the radar as well as the rest of the detectives on his case. One would think that would make him happy, less people working to stop his business, but it made him angry. He didn’t like loose ends. That’s when he sent the boys to find more information. The boys had names, he just didn’t care to learn them, so they were called, the boys. They had connections, which Delgado loved more than anything else. He found that every cop had a price, and where he had the money, they had the time.

So hearing that they had gotten the information that he wanted, he was happy as a clam, and paid them what they asked before taking the file, and sending his own troops.

*Storybrooke*

Olivia had called off work that morning, she was feeling tired and her hands weren’t doing so hot after last night. Cragen left promising that he would bring back lunch and she thanked him for it. He had found out quickly that food was the way to a woman’s heart.

She sat on the couch after doing some light cleaning and laid back, putting on a movie and putting her feet up, which didn’t last too long as the sound of her doorbell chimed through the house. After letting out a grunt in response she got up and walked to the door, checking the peephole to make sure there weren’t any dangers, or jehovah's witnesses, she quickly opened it. “Elliot, what are you doing here?” she asked confused.

“Could I maybe stay here for a while?” he asked and she raised a brow, “What do you mean stay here?” she asked confused, “Well uh, you see, Kathy… She kicked me out.” he said bluntly and her eyes widened slightly. “And I spent the last night in my car, and I really need a place to stay before I have a chronic kink in my neck.” he sighed and she bit her lip and nodded slowly before letting him in. She showed him to the guest room and made sure he was set up before going back to her hobbit hole in the living room.

She wondered what Elliot had done to make Kathy kick him out.

He couldn’t have told her about the kiss… or could he? She didn’t know, and she didn’t want to stress herself out over it. It wasn’t her business, or concern. One kiss couldn’t have ended his marriage.

Well it could have.

If she had seen Dean kiss another girl then it most certainly would have ended everything.

She really didn’t want to be the dirty mistress, but she felt like that was all she would ever be. She hated herself for it. She was angry with herself for it. She sighed softly and decided to ask Elliot what happened.

If he came down anyway.

She watched another episode of her show and finally, Elliot came down and graced her with his presence, “hey, took you awhile.” she said softly and he nodded, “Yeah, I really needed that, so where’s cragen?” he asked and she sipped her drink. “He’s at work, he’ll be back with lunch though.” she said softly and he nodded slightly. “That’s nice.”

“So, uh, why did Kathy kick you out, if you don’t mind me asking.” Olivia asked softly and he stayed quiet for a while. In truth he knew why, it wasn’t just what he said, they had both been wanting an out, and he knew that Kathy wouldn’t ever leave unless he did something terrible, and that’s why he said what he said. It offered an out.

“I told her you were better than our marriage.” he whispered softly and she creased her brow slightly.

“What?”

“She said you were fine, she said you were tough and you were okay, she said our marriage was dying and you were alive and I told her that you were better than our marriage. It probably wasn’t the best choice of words considering she kicked me out.” he admitted softly and Olivia nodded biting her lip softly. “What about the kids Elliot?” she asked softly and he shrugged. “I don’t know. I planned on going over there tomorrow to talk about things, but I’m not going back Liv. There’s nothing for me there. A marriage without love is no marriage at all.” he sighed and she sat back slightly nodding. She could understand his concern, she hadn’t been married, nor did she have kids, but she understood what he was saying.

---

Later that eventing, Elliot showed up at the Stabler household. He knocked on the door lightly. He knew the girls would be at tennis and track, and Dickie would be in football practice. Eli had been invited to a friend’s birthday party and so he knew, Kathy would be alone in the house, and he was glad for that, he didn’t know what he would do if the kids were there.

She opened the door and saw her husband standing there. Opening the door slightly, she let him in and he sat at the table like she asked him to.

She sat across from them. Neither of them saying a word.

“Kathy I-” Elliot started, but was interrupted by his wife. “I want a divorce Elliot.” she whispered and he looked down at his fingers. He hadn’t expected that from her. Looking back up at her he could see the tears swimming in her bright blue eyes that had once held so much happiness, where now they lie empty and broken. He realized that he had done that to her.

He knew he was the one to blame for this.

“Okay.” he whispered softly and she nodded wiping her tears slightly and grabbed a tissue for comfort. “I talked with a lawyer, and he’s drawing up some papers, I would like us to have joint custody. I don’t want to keep the kids from you.” she whispered and he nodded quickly. “That’s perfectly fine, you can have everything you want all I ask is for joint custody, and my car.” he said and she nodded.

They agreed for the most part on everything and he left feeling better about things. Little did he know, as soon as the door closed behind him, his wife, now ex wife, let out a soft sob.
