A couple days had gone by and the gang had no idea where to start looking. The borders had reported no unlisted aircrafts, her phone wasn’t on so they couldn’t track it, etc. She was completely lost to them and they had kept trying her radio to see where she might’ve gone but to no avail.
---
Olivia slowly came to and became aware of the searing pain across her whole body. Her vision was blurry and the ringing in her ears was intense as she tried to stand but realized very quickly she couldn’t use her arms… or her legs. This set her into a deep panic and her eyes snapped open as adrenaline kicked in and she realized just what happened.
The helicopter had crashed.
She sat up slightly to assess the damage. She was still cuffed to the door which is why she assumed that she hadn’t been thrown anywhere, one of her legs was completely crushed under the tail of the chopper, she had no idea if she would be able to get it out. Her other leg was numb which gave her a pretty good indication that she had either some form of back injury or she was in shock. She hoped it was shock.
She couldn’t see any other injuries currently and if she were honest she was afraid to move at all. Looking around slowly she tried to find Delgado and from what she saw he was nowhere to be found.
She heard her radio going off and groaned softly trying to tug at her cuffs in hopes that they would break or something would break and she would be able to talk to them.
Delgado was on the run. The chopper went down and he knew he was in trouble. The leaves crunched under his feet but he knew he had to keep moving. Someone had shot them down, but who he didn’t know, and he wasn’t going to stick around long enough to find out. He was panting hard and he held his gun close in case of any form of wildlife. Slipping slowly into a cave he slid down the rocky wall and caught his breath, thinking that would be a good place for him to sleep for the night, a nice place to keep away from the elements and nurse his wounds, that is until he noticed the eyes staring at him from inside the darkness, and the scent of blood from his wounds filling the air.
Olivia heard Delgado’s screams, but there wasn’t a whole lot she could do in her current state. She listened to her radio quietly biting her lip listening as each member of her team tried to radio into her.
Elliot sat quietly by his radio and sighed picking it up. “Liv, if you can hear me, just know we’re coming.” he whispered, “We’re coming to get you and we won’t stop until you’re back home safe.” he said softly shaking his head and setting the radio down.
She swallowed hard and sniffled trying to work the handcuffs again.
By day three she was completely exhausted and somewhat delirious, but she was free. The door she had been cuffed to had taken all her effort to finally break, but it helped that she found a weak spot and slowly maneuvered herself to kick at it and get herself free.
Slowly she brought her arms down, her body stiff as a board and she felt like she could pass out any moment now. She brought her radio to her lips and pressed the button, “Officer down, we were shot down in the forest, I need medical assistants, this is detective Olivia Benson, I repeat officer down.” She let the radio lay against her chest hugging it close as she coughed. She had radioed in to all available channels and prayed that someone heard her.
And they did.
Elliot sat upright in his bed hearing his radio go off, and the sound of Olivia’s voice filled the air, he quickly radioed back asking for the coordinates and got ready. Eventually they all left with a search party to find her.
It took a couple hours of searching but they came across the crash site. Elliot raced over to Olivia who was passed out and the medics quickly got to her and got her to the ambulance. There were no remains of Delgado. Quickly the team airlifted her to the hospital after they stabilized her and Elliot went with while the others went to their cars to follow.
