TREVOR POV:

I was sitting in the studio trying to write new songs, but all I could do was think about Zendaya. She was completely right on everything. I treated her less of her value as a young woman, best friend, and even somebody I claimed to love more than a friend. Now, I'm afraid that I have lost her altogether because of my foolishness. Shit, I don't even blame her for shutting me out, but one thing about it is that I won't give up on her.

I got up and grabbed my things. I was ending my studio session early because I felt like I had to get her to realize how much of a fool I've been to even think that I could waste her time. She was more than important to me and I would have to put away my pride and fears to show her that. Every time I tried calling her, she sent me straight to voicemail. My only option was to pop up on her. I looked at the time and it seemed like a pretty decent time to show up at her crib. After a few stops at places like the floral market & edible arrangements, I finally made it to her place. As I parked my car, I grabbed the gifts I got Daya & soon found myself nervous at their front door. After I rung her doorbell, her mother stood at the door greeting me. She let me in and told me that Daya would be down soon after getting dressed.
"Hey Ma, how do I- what is he doing here?!," she asked looking over at me with a scowl. I was in such awe at how beautiful she looked.

It's crazy how she made the most simplest things, look more than wonderful... she looked stunning.
"You look beautiful Z....," I managed to say. She looked at me as if she were fighting to say what she really wanted. "Thanks," was all she said. "Look, I came by to-" the doorbell rung interrupting of what I was about to say to her. It couldn't have been any better timing. "He's here mom! Omg, dad pleaaaaase do not scare him off. He's a good guy." I was stunned. Was she seeing somebody now? I quickly took the flowers and put them in the fridge along with the edible arrangements. I couldn't go down like a clown. The door was opened by her dad who soon revealed the mystery guy.

This guy stood before us at least reaching the height of 6'2. He had a muscular stature that you'd easily mistaken him for Hercules. He easily looked like a modern day Hercules. What. The. Hell. Before Zendaya's dad could interrogate him into fear, she took this guy by the hands and led him inside. After giving him a hug, she introduced him. "You guys, this is Matthew, Matthew, this is my mom & dad." I stood off far in the corner, forgotten & invincible it felt like. He still had a grip on Daya's waist, pulling her close to him gradually, rubbing the small of her back. "And who's this?," this Matt guy turned around, pointing directly at me. "Oh... that's my best friend Trevor." Her voice was small and uncertain, which in turn made me uneasy. "I'll just see y'all later," I said quickly, exiting their household. I never once turned back. I couldn't stand to see the woman I love with someone else...

As I backed out of their driveway, my head was spinning out of control. My heart hadn't hurt so bad  before and I didn't know how I was gonna cope with it for right now. I was now in the midst of feeling and even being lonely for the first time in a long time...
