Izaya drives through the streets of Ikebukuro, toward his apartment, as thoughts of the previous night swim through his head. For once in his life, he is actually happy, but he also worries about what the rest of Ikebukuro will think of the two rivals' new found love. Everyone will hear about it soon enough, and this slightly frightens him. He doesn't know how people will react, but on the other hand, he doesn't really care as long as he has his Shizu-chan.

The dark haired raven is so caught up in his thoughts that he doesn't see the large semi truck headed straight for his car. He sees it too late, and the impact sends his car rolling. Izaya's mind goes blank as he is jerked around, glass, metal, and other debris flying everywhere around him.

Suddenly, he stops moving and the car is still. The informant hears nothing but the ringing in his ears. He knows he's in severe pain, yet he can't feel it. Not yet. Izaya tries to move, but can't. He wills his arms, legs, head and body to do something, anything at all, but nothing happens.

Tears slip from his eyes as he feels himself slowly starting to leave his body. "Shizu-chan..." he says"I don't want to die. I'm too happy. I...I can't die. I have to stay and watch over you, Shizu-chan!" He pauses as a thought pops into his head, then he cries out, without hearing himself "I'll always watch over you, Shizu-chan. No matter where I go, I'll protect you from there!" He stops for a moment before whispering "I love you, Shizuo." Izaya's eyes close for the last time as his final breath leaves his body. He lay there, lifeless, and without Shizuo.

Shizuo Heiwajima sits in a stool beside the counter at Russia Sushi, the best place to eat in a ll of Ikebukuro. He was telling Simon about the events of the previous night when his cell phone rings. He answers it to hear Shinra on the other end. "Shizuo, where are you?" he asks the blonde.

"Russia Sushi. Why?" the bartender replies.

"Russia Sushi? You'rte supposed to be resting at home! Whatever, that's not why I called. Turn on the t.v. to channel three now!!"

"The news? Why?"

"Just do it! Now!"

Shizuo gets up to switch the t.v. on. It's already on channel three. When Shizuo sees the picture on the screen, his mind goes blank and he nearly falls on the floor. "I-Izaya?" he stammers. He hears silence on the other end before Shinra says "I thought you needed to see it.". The dark haired doctor hangs up the phone. Simon comes to stand next to the horrified blonde. He says nothing.

"N-no, no, no" Shizuo cries, falling to his knees while the reporter on screen says things like "car wreck", "did not die instantly", "car is totaled", and "truck driver is okay." How can the truck driver be fine, when his Izaya is dead? Shizuo can't understand. It doesn't seem fair to him.

Simon picks the blonde up and sets him back on the stool. Shizuo realizes that warm tears are relentlessly streaming down his cheeks, and his whole body is shaking uncontrollably from his sobbing. "Shizuo" Simon says "Don't cry. Eat sushi! Sushi very good!" He pushes a plate of food towards the blonde haired bartender, but Shizuo is frozen with shock, so he does nothing. Simon gives up and leaves to give Shizuo some privacy. Suddenly, a strong wave of calm passes over Shizuo, and he instantly stops sobbing and shaking. He looks around, baffled.

"Simon," He calls to the man, who had gone into the back "I'm going home." He leaves the restaurant and heads to his apartment, still oddly calm. Everywhere he passes seems empty and desolate without Izaya.

When Shizuo gets back to his apartment, he, for the second time, sits back against the door, tears now lightly streaming from his face. This time, he wasn't expecting Izaya to come knock on his door. Izaya was gone.

Hey guys! :3 "How could you do this to us?" you must be saying. Yeah, well, I did, so deal with it! :P lol sorry. ^.^ Anyways, I need your advice. So, I have an ending already planned out, and it's pretty good, but I would end the book in the next part. But,  someone proposed another idea I could do, which I really like, but it would make the book a lot longer. So, which should I do? Go ahead and end it, or carry it out a lot more? I would really appreciate your comments, and you can PM me your opinion if you want. Heck, you can PM me just cuz you want to! :D But, yeah, tell me what you think! ^.^
