Chapter 9:
( Kid )
I woke up earlier than Liz and Patty. I almost forgot that Liz always takes forever to wake up, so I decided to wake her up myself. I was desperate. I couldn't wait any longer, I had to tell someone. I silently walked into her room.
Asleep, of course.
I walked over and gently shook her,
"Liz?" I said, just above a whisper.
"Hmm?" she said half-asleep.
"Liz, can you get up? I have to tell you something important. She rolled over in her bed, her back facing me.
"Ugh, it's like the middle of the night" she complained.
"It's 8:00 in the morning" I started getting annoyed.
"Same thing" she waved her hand in the air as if to shoo me away.
"Please Liz" I begged, "I want to tell you before Patty wakes up"
Liz finally sat up grumpily, but more interested.
"Ok fine, what is it?" She walked over to the kitchen and started making coffee.
"You have to promise not to tell anyone, alright?" I said, she sat down infront of me.
"Ok I won't."
My heart was pounding.
Was this really happening?
"Ok so..." I began shaking.
She grabbed my hands "Kid, you know you can tell me anything, don't be nervous." I calmed down a little more. I sat up.
"This is about me..."
She was nodding her hand. "Yeah?"
The coffee machine started beeping. She quickly served us both coffee.
I felt the warmth of the coffee hit my palms through the mug.
I let the hot steam hit my face.
"Kid?" Liz snapped me out of my daze. I looked at her.
"This is about me...being gay" I spat out the last two words quickly, turning red.
