Song: Kylie Minogue & Nick Cave - "Where The Wild Roses Grow" (The Abbey Road Sessions)
No mundane night, no stars nor moonlight,
Dark permeated every living spark,
Doom for a bird without a nest,
A beast without the asylum.
She had a whisper and a promise,
Dreamy, elegant, supple like breeze,
He had a face full of love, long forgotten,
Secretive and seductive as the willow tree.
The wild roses with faded petals,
Was their heart's hymn.
Curled under the voice of ruin,
The woods around rustled,
In the rhythm of fall and fade,
Each stone composed a precious ballad,
Of the bridge between living and dead,
A place where lovers meet and disperse.
The river behind told the stories of cries
It was the first time they lived and died.
✒Despite it's permeated with desire to destroy, haunting, and absolutely terrifying but magnificent lyrics, I find it really capturing.
Listening to it, the words above flew out of my mind.
