13 ~ The Fall

There is that solitary, insane fall,

Clutches to my soul and savagely doesn't let go,

I felt its colors long before, beyond the shadowy steam.

Today, I feel unraveling intensity break through the wall,

Hallowed scream of life's unrest, malfunctioning to the point of brim,

The loneliness is me.

No windows no doors, vicious and forsaken,

Only cold, suffocating humidity,

Lust fest of effulgent, sunny days ended in a whisper of a sleep,

Erupted in the flame of birds feathers and old, mutilated leaves,

I don't need an armor to protect me,

The fire is me.

I stand there alone, forgotten, untold while insanity grows

Wakeful to the life banished from doleful, old trees,

Frightened? Petrified!

Everything seems deadened as can be,
But I am away from being tangled in shroud of dreams,

The escape is me.

Autumn,  rainy and cold at this time of the year. Even though cold,  it takes so little to warm up the heart: a kind word, generous gesture, a smile. Yes, a smile has the power to brighten any gray, rainy day. So I dedicate smile to all my followers. :)
