28 ~ Stranger in her own mind

Engulfed into a dim night,

In the waterway of her thoughts, she stood,

While her face became pale,

Under the silvery moon of her doubts.

A crazed come back to the same old haunt,

All alone in her escape,

Gathering sorrow from each wave,

Warm tears released like a flood,

All that ever happened she never understood,

Maybe the crime is hidden in glass and wine.

Now she's just a stranger in her own mind,

Standing on undetermined, unsecured ground,

She drowned herself in her own words she never said,

While the waves called out her name,

Her soul dipped in silence,

Heart embraced in cold game.

It's just a step before touching the deep,

A touch before smelling the flowers of disgrace,

Just a moment before losing her sense,

A second before venom's released.

Until reality slaps her in the face,

She'll be nothing but a stranger in her own mind.
