Epilogue| "I love you too."Plan#29
"Is Sam going to be here?" I asked James fixing up my hair a bit. Their parents went away for a bit and James decided to throw a Halloween party. We both decided to dress up like one of the Marvel League Characters and I so happened to be Wonder Woman, while he was BatMan."He told me last night that he was leaving for NYC today," James informed me and I nodded. James saw my sudden change in mood so he turned to face me. "He also said he didn't want to be here, but hey it's for the best," He proclaimed trying to cheer me up.
Turning to face him I nodded smiling. "I think you did the right thing breaking off your connections with him. Don't you?" James asked and I stare back at him nodding. "Yeah," I simply replied. I watched him give me a small side smile before intertwining his fingers in mine.
"Let's rock this party tonight," James shouted excitedly and I nodded doing a small cry for joy. Following behind him we exited his bathroom and went towards the stairs. I watched as James greeted some of our classmates introducing me to some of his rich friends. I stayed awfully quiet just waving my hand as a greeting. James questioned this but never asked me about it.
"You're so tensed up today Gem, why?" James asked me sipping on his glass of punch. I shrugged my shoulders glancing back at how the punch bubbled. Anyone in their right mind would know that they spiked it with way too much alcohol.
"Here take a sip," James told me and before I could answer he titled the cup that met my lips. The coldness off the punch lowered my esophagus making me shiver a bit. The alcohol from it then gave my throat a slight burning sensation. It soon went away and James smiled at me. "That wasn't so bad wasn't it?" He asked and I shook my head no.
My eyes then went towards the pool table watching as some people did belly shots. James wiggled his eyebrows at me and I snorted. "You can stay here while I go play with the prissy ladies," James said to me before kissing my cheek. Nodding I watched him stand in front of a group of girls talking and laughing with them.
Turning towards the dance floor I danced along to the slow beat. My eyes then averted to the couples before me that were dancing gracefully. Turning away I gulped meeting eyes with yet another couple who this time were kissing passionately.
