DracoWe sat on the couch together. She was cuddled up in my lap. Our arms were around each other and we were silent. Our eyes were closed but neither of us asleep. We had been sitting here, just like this, for an hour.
We both still had tears streaming down our faces. I was still in shock from the moment I thought I lost everything. My girlfriend, my child, the only reason that I live, gone.
I was the first to move. I pressed my lips to hers making her kiss back. It wasn't long before our clothes were in a pile on the floor.
~*~*~
Hermione and I lay together on the couch, a blanket covering our bodies. I kissed her again so we didn't notice the sound of someone apparating in.
"HOLY MOTHER OF MERLIN!" Ginny yelled.
I jumped back from Hermione, making sure she was covered by the blanket. Ginny and Harry ran to the kitchen and closed the door.
"MAKE YOURSELVES DECENT!" She yelled through the door.
I sighed and handed Hermione her clothes. I realized just how red her face was. I smiled as I pulled on my clothes. When I couldn't find my shirt anywhere I looked at Hermione, who was wearing it.
I chuckled and called Harry and Ginny in. "I can't believe I just saw that," Harry muttered, rubbing his eyes.
"You're the one who doesn't use the door!" Hermione retorted. "If you would have knocked you wouldn't have seen it!"
"Well I didn't expect that!" He continued.
"Then what did you expect? We are together Harry, and we are staying together!" She replied.
"On a happier note I'm pregnant!" Ginny butt in.
The room went dead silent. "Harry! You hippogriff!" Hermione yelled.
Harry turned red. "I.. well... I... that's not the point!" He stuttered.
"Congratulations," I cut in.
"Thank you!" Ginny said, sending a glare at Harry. "We need to go... We need to tell mum," she then turned to Harry. "Dad's gonna kill you, Harry."
He suddenly looked terrified. Ginny laughed and apparated.
"I can't believe they saw us like that," Hermione said with red cheeks.
"I can't believe Ginny made us stop," I muttered.
Hermione smiled and pushed my shoulder playfully. "Your so messed up sometimes," she laughed.
"You love it," I whispered in her ear.
She laughed and pushed my head away. "I guess so."
Hermione (five months later)
I looked at my stomach in the mirror. It was unbelievably big considering I was only six and a half months pregnant.
I suddenly felt something that shocked me. I ran downstairs and sat between Draco and Harry.
"Draco! Give me your hand, quick!" I ordered.
He looked at me curiously before giving me his hand. I placed it on the right side of my lower stomach. I felt the baby kick his hand making his eyes widen.
"Is that the baby?!" He asked.
I nodded like crazy with a smile on my face. The smile dropped when he kicked me really hard.
"Hermione?" Draco asked.
"I really don't like you right now," I muttered as the baby kicked me again.
Harry laughed. "Your so bipolar! One second you were so delighted the next your telling him you hate him!"
"You'll understand in a few months Potter," Draco replied smugly.
The baby kicked something important because I yelped in pain. I felt a wave of nausea and ran to the bathroom.
When I was done Draco carried me back to the couch. "What happened?" He asked.
"Baby kicked my stomach," I groaned.
"I guess I will get out of your hair," Harry said.
"Bye Harry," I muttered just before he apparated.
I rested my head on the back of the couch and closed my eyes. Draco rested his head in my lap and started talking to the baby.
"I think your mum is going to be the perfect mum, don't you think?" He asked the baby. "Let me tell you a story about how I met your mother," he started, making me laugh. "Shush will you? I'm talking to my son!" Draco smiled.
After about an hour Draco was singing to the baby. It was some weird muggle American song.
"In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed, when the sparrows stop their singing and the sky is clear and red.
When the summer ceased its gleaming and the corn is past it's prime, when adventures lost it's meaning, I'll be homeward bound in time.
Bind me not, to the pasture, chain me not, to the plow. Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow," he sang. His voice was so soft yet steady as he sang.It wasn't long before I fell asleep to his soft voice.
Draco
I was singing a song my mum used to sing to me as a small child. I hadn't seen mum much lately, she had been leaving the house every morning and coming back late.
I continued to sing until a soft snore caught my attention. I looked up to see Hermione was asleep. I smiled and continued to sing to my son.
I slid my hand under her shirt and felt for the baby. I smiled when he kicked my hand, letting me know he was there. He suddenly kicked my hand extremely hard, making Hermione hold her stomach and groan.
She relaxed as I rubbed her stomach. "Draco, I hate you so much right now," she muttered.
"I know and I love you too," I whispered more lovingly.
"But I love you too," she whispered.
I sighed. "Your so bipolar," I said.
"Shut up," she snapped. "And get me some chocolate."
"What's the magic word?" I teased.
"Avada ked-"
"Alright! I'll get you some chocolate," I said quickly.
I came back with a large block of chocolate. "Thank you," she smiled. "I love you."
"I love you too."
