Hermione (that night)Running, running as fast as I could. "Freeze mudblood, or the boy dies," Bellatrix growled.
I froze. She moved her wand from his throat and pointed it at mY stomach. "Crucio!"
I screamed in agony. I knew the baby couldn't have survived that. She then pointed her wand at the unconscious Draco. "NO! DONT HURT HIM!" I screamed.
"Avada Kedavra!" She yelled.
Draco stopped breathing, he lie motionless.
"DRACO! NO!" I screamed. I ran to him and cradled his head in my arms. "PLEASE DON'T! WAKE UP!"
"I have taken everything you have, you are nothing, Mudblood," she laughed.
"No! No! You MONSTER!" I screamed.
Draco
I woke to the most terrifying noise possible, Hermione screaming. I shot up and looked at Hermione.
"NO! DON'T HURT HIM!" She screamed. "DRACO! NO!"
I quickly shook her in an attempt to wake her. "Hermione, wake up!" I yelled shaking her.
She opened her eyes just as Harry and Ginny ran through the door. Hermione sat up, breathing heavily.
"Are you alright," I asked, softly.
Hermione was shaking as Harry and Ginny slowly stepped from the room. Hermione wrapped her arms around me.
"She... She.. She," Hermione stuttered.
"Who?"
"B..Bellatrix she.. She.." Hermione continued.
"What did she do?" I asked softly.
"She killed you... and the baby."
I hugged her tight. "It's okay, it was just a dream, it's not real."
"If felt so real," she whispered.
"I'm not going anywhere Hermione. We will watch our baby grow up and we will be a happy family," I told her.
She nodded so I had her lay down. I kept my arms tightly around her and pulled the blanket up to keep her warm. I felt her relax but she didn't fall asleep.
"Get some sleep, I will be here when you wake up," I whispered.
She nodded but gripped my shirt anyway. She quickly dosed off. I stayed awake until I was sure she was in a deep sleep.
~*~*~
Ginny left today because she thought I was well enough to take care of Hermione. She took mum to a private section in St. Mungos because she wasn't recovering properly.
I started writing a letter to the Nott's asking if they could come.
"Hermione you're u need to write the address here so the Nott's can come over," I said, handing Hermione a letter I wrote. She nodded and wrote the address. "I've asked Mrs. Nott to come soon so she can make sure the baby will be okay."
"Okay," she replied. "Draco?"
"Yes?"
"I'm scared."
"Why?" I asked.
"The scars still hurt, they are completely healed, but they still hurt... that's not supposed to happen," she whispered.
"Make sure you tell Mrs. Nott that so she can be sure," I said. "The baby will be fine, I know it."
She nodded and hugged me. "I love you."
"I love you too."
~*~*~
"Hermione! The Nott's will be here in a bit!" I yelled through the bathroom door.
I heard the shower head turn off and Hermione walked out with just a towel. "Help me find an outfit!" She said, walking to the closet.
I pulled out an extremely short dress and held it up. "What about this?"
"Where's the rest of it?" Hermione asked, continuing to search. She pulled out a green top and Jean shorts. "Perfect!"
She started to get dressed when the doorbell rang. I rushed out the door and opened the front. Theo gave me an arm hug and walked in followed by his mum.
"So, what's this I hear about a baby?" Theo asked.
Just as he said that Hermione started walking downstairs. She was halfway down before she turned around and ran back up.
"I'll be back in a second," I said, rushing after her.
As I expected, she was on the bathroom floor. I held her hair and rubbed her back. When she was finished I wiped her mouth and helped her stand.
She was leaning most of her weight on me as I helped her downstairs. "Hermione?" Theo asked.
"I'm fine," she muttered. "Just morning sickness."
"She's pregnant?!" He asked.
"Yes," she said.
"Nice job man," he said, patting my back.
I rolled my eyes. "I figured you would want to tell him yourself," Mrs. Nott said. I nodded.
"Hermione, why don't we go in the other room and talk about what's wrong?" Mrs. Nott asked.
Hermione nodded and followed her to the living room. Me and Theo went to the dining room for a glass of butterbeer.
"So... how far is she?" He asked.
"A bit over four weeks," I replied.
"So your going to be a dad," he said. "It sounds crazy. Draco Malfoy is going to be a dad."
"Sounds great," I smiled.
Seconds later I could hear Hermione yelling. I got up and opened the living room door. Tears were pouring down Hermione's face.
"Hermione? What's wrong?" I asked.
She was in my arms a split second later, sobbing loudly. "The baby."
I suddenly felt terror fill my body. I looked at Mrs. Nott, hoping she would explain.
"Her body is... very weak, fragile at the moment. She might be too weak to carry the baby, her body might find it as a threat and get rid of it," she explained. She took a deep breath, "the baby is likely to die."
It felt like a knife to the heart. I felt tears fill my eyes as Hermione sobbed louder. She quickly pulled back and rushed from the room. I followed her as she ran outside.
"Hermione!" I yelled. I didn't see her anywhere as Theo came outside.
"What's wrong Mate?" He asked.
"Later," I said, frantically looking for Hermione.
Her wand still hadn't come in so she had no protection. I would never forgive myself if something happened to her. I heard a distant sob so I took off running. I finally caught sight of her and scooped her up in my arms.
"Hermione.... never... do that again..." I muttered, kissing her between each word.
