"Okay, okay. How many girlfriends have you had that I don't know of?" Ashlyn giggled as they were laying down on the grass in Ashlyn's backyard looking up at the night sky.

"I only dated two girls in my whole life!" Max exclaimed.

"I don't believe that." Ashlyn rolled her eyes, smiling. "I'm pretty sure it was two. You can even ask my mum, she hated both of them." He laughed.

"Sure." She shrugged, still not believing him. "It's true!" He argued. "Okay fine." Ashlyn went quiet and all you could hear was the wind.

"Okay I have something cheesy to say," Max started. "What do you mean?" Ashlyn asked.

"Tell me if this is too much." Max cleared his throat.

"How much time would it take you to count all those stars?" Max asked. "I don't know. Like infinity!" Ashlyn threw her arms up, exaggerating.

"Well, that's how much I-I l-love you." Max suddenly spit it out, finally.

Ashlyn didn't even blink. "Well, um... honestly, that was so cheesy but very cute." Ashlyn bit her lip to prevent herself from smiling.

"So..." Max laughed, breaking the silence.

"Wait, you were directing that to me?" Ashlyn smirked.

"I fucking hate you." Max grabbed her face and kissed her sweetly. Finally breaking it apart, Max smiled at her and showed her his one dimple. "Who would've thought? Maxson Benjamin Martinez, my best friend, would be such a great kisser?"

"Oh shut up. I know you've fantasized about this moment so much." Max teased.

"For your information, n-yes, yes I have. It was definitely way more romantic in my 13 year old mind." Ashlyn sighed dreamily.

"This is how I picture your 13 year old mind, Panic! At The Disco, Ryan Ross, Zayn Malik, me taking you on a ride in a carriage, petals falling on us and then a slow passionate kiss. Correct me I'm wrong." Max put his arms on the back of his head and kept looking at the stars with an idiotic grin on his face.

"Aha, sure. Think what you want." Ashlyn looked at him, she could see his grin which made her smile.

Mikayla uncomfortably woke up beside her younger sister. She pushed Lauren to the side gently and got her phone and got out of her bed.

She took the hair out of her face and walked to the bathroom. She sleepily turned on her phone and leaned on her right elbow, typing in her password.

She had dozens of messages from Chase.

Her lips curled slightly as she read over all of them.
