Elena
Another pointless school day ahead.

I've managed to scrap enough money from what was left from my college fund to get a apartment, but it won't last forever.

I could feel the drool on side of my cheek from the night before, I wiped it off as I rolled onto my back.

I sighed. If Caroline thinks she can pull crap and wear the shirt she bought two of, then gave to me today she's mistaken.

It always happens, I Snapchat her a picture of me for streaks, she sees the shirt and goes to school wearing the exact same one. It's not cute enough to wear all the time.

I rolled my eyes at the thought of Caroline. I grabbed my phone, blinked a few times as the light blinded me.

"Why did I think morning classes would suit me." I whimpered, and slid my finger across the phone and entered my password.

Looking through my Instagram feed I got the comment bubble notification.

"Would you look at that, 45 new people commented on how pretty I am." I often did talk to myself in the morning, I know I put on a tough face but it does get lonely here all alone.

I shut off my phone and placed my feet onto the seemingly cold floor. Walking over to my dresser I pulled a thick black elastic out of a tiny bucket. I cringed noticing the hair stuck in it.

"I really need to get new elastics." I took my hair in my hands and pulled it into a messy ponytail.

Heading to the kitchen I poured my captain crunch into my usual cat bowl.

I never owned any cats, but as long as I can remember I wanted one. I craved the feeling of coming home and a cat coming at me to rub its side against my leg. Many people always thought it was annoying, I always thought it'd be comforting.

Home was my happy place, nothing and no one to disturb my alone time.

Then the doorbell rings. Ruining my alone time now are we? I thought.

"Open up Elena, it's almost time to go." I heard a familiar voice speak out.

"Hold on Bonnie, let me grab my patience!" I shouted back, opening the door I caught an annoyed glance from Bonnie.

"Watch it, I can get vicious too." Bonnie hissed.

"I could honestly care less, besides I have a car! If you're so scared about being late to what, English? You can drive without me." I turned back and poured milk into my bowl.

"You're parents aren't giving you money, don't you want to save all the money you have on this apartment and not on gas?" Bonnie was making me regret telling her anything.

"How dare you bring up my personal dilemma." I intensely glared at her. "Just for that, you've been demoted to the side at lunch. Caroline will replace you."

"The side is by the garbage, it smells like dead puppies. You sit Caroline there because she's like obsessed with you." Her voice was filling with hostility.

"Leave Caroline out of this, she's my friend." I demanded.

"Is that what we're calling the trash now?" A smirk grew on Bonnie's face.

"You can leave. If all you came here was to insult me and Caroline than congratulations you succeeded." I walked in closer towards her. "But you and I both know who's more superior here." I laughed.

"I'm sorry, I like her, I do. She just doesn't deserve to sit in the middle like I do." Bonnie smiled, than walked out.
