Stefan
My biggest weakness always ends up destroying whatever sort of social life I have going for me. That of course is the splendid act of lying. Denying is more of an evident fact of a weakness.

Sitting in the middle of a McDonald's restaurant, hearing babies wailing until their skin turns pink, supposedly happy newly weds arguing about who some famous persons first love was, is quite frankly very annoying.

My uncle Morris decided McDonald's would be a good pick because they're usually not too busy. He's always admired the way they get the perfect crisp on their French fries, which is why I don't want to make us go somewhere's else, despite the fact that my ears could fall off at the exact moment my brain explodes into smithereens.

The tapping of his foot shakes me out of my thoughts quick enough to hear his question, "We can go some place else, if you'd like?"

"No its fine. I'm sure the line will die down soon, and those babies will soon get tired then whatever problems we have will be solved."

"This doesn't bother you?" Morris spoke, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Not the least."

"So uh, how is Giuseppe doing these days? Is he still fooling around with that foolish girl, what's her name." My family was never fond of my fathers fiancé, they thought she was trashy.

"Lily. They're engaged now, he got a new job as a car engineer."

"He never knew how to pick the girls." Morris picked up a napkin and began playing with it between his fingers.

"You're low knowledge on your own brother is interesting." I retorted.

"Don't go there, you don't want to get involved with this generation of Salvatore brothers." He snarled.

My phone began blaring with the catchy ringtone I set. I caught intense glare's from annoyed customers.

"I have to take this, I'll be back in a minute." I told my now rattled uncle.

"Take your time." He nodded giving his approval to leave the building for a few minutes.

"Hello Elena." I answered with a raspiness to my voice.

"Stefan. You don't sound gleamy." A sigh went through my phone.

"A pathetic life has a gleamy voice? Don't think so." I scratched the back of my neck at the thought of our last conversation a few days back.

"I actually called to apologize for my rudeness on Friday night, I was out of line and down right mean." I could sense the sincerity coming from her soft feminine voice.

"Its in the past, okay?" I noticed some more parents wheeling some new borns into McDonald's, I sighed.

"Alrighty than, wanna hang out?" Although going back in there to want to burn my eyes out is an enticing offer, I wouldn't mind going to a movie or mini golfing, something that didn't involve hunger filled annoying human beings.

"Sure, so I'll see you later around two thirty?"

"Mmhm, bye Stefan."

We hung up the phone and I began to walk inside again.

"Someone I know?" Morris took a sip from his root beer filled cup.

"No just some girl, who I'm actually about to go meet up with." I gave him a fake sorrow filled face, waiting for a response.

"Well let's hope she's not like lily, that would be a disaster." He chuckled.

"Don't get involved with that generation of Salvatore brothers." I spoke out loud reminding myself.
