Elena
Today is a good day, or going to be. Bonnie and Caroline are coming over to help pack, even though they have no clue that I'm moving in with Stefan.

I haven't told them yet because truthfully, this seems kind of surreal. I met this boy no less than a month ago and now I will be living with him for at least six months. It's scary, especially since if he finds out about the deal I made with Bonnie I will be out faster than I moved in.

So far things are going fairly smoothly according to plan; I have a place to live, I'm closer with Stefan this way, which therefore leads him to like me in a more than a friend type of way, then I get my money and my whole place.

There is one dilemma with this plan, the more I get to know Stefan the less I'm willing to hurt him for this money. Despite how much I need it.

My train of thoughts was interrupted by a thud. "That's one more box full of things." Bonnie told me.

"Great thanks."

"You still haven't told us where you're moving, are you trying to hide something from us?" At least I thought things were going smoothly now I have to either spill my guts or lie my way out of this. Thanks Caroline.

"To be completely honest, I'm moving in with someone. But you don't know them." Yeah Elena, that's honest.

They rolled their eyes and continued to pack, meanwhile my phone buzzed. I was almost surprised to see the name that came up on my phone.

"Hi Stefan." I walked outside of my apartment for privacy.

"Hey, how's packing? Have you told them yet?"

"No I haven't, it's just I haven't been their biggest supporter so it should be in them to judge me, you know?"

"Bonnie hasn't always been Ronald McDonald but you now are nice to her right, and Caroline is still here, she's helping you pack."

"You had to say Ronald McDonald, not Santa Claus or someone else who's happy or nice, but nope Ronald McDonald." I laughed.

"Hey Ronald's a sick guy. Don't hate."

"No hate just wondering when the last time you've gone to McDonald's. You seem like the type to go subway or something extremely healthy."

"Have you had a Big Mac? Victoria secret models probably eat Big Macs because they're so damn good." He's so nice, and funny. I can't believe I'm debating whether or not to take the money.

"I happen to go to McDonalds three times a day, why do you think I can't afford an apartment, I spend all my money on McDonalds."

"If you like it so much, mind accompanying me there tonight? Say 7:00?" Was Stefan Salvatore asking me out on a date?

"So should I call and make reservations?"

"It's McDonald's." He clarified.

"Stefan." I paused, "do you really want our first date to be at McDonald's?"

"Elena, I'm sorry if you got the wrong impression, but I'd rather do this as just friends." What? Am I super oblivious? If that's not him flirting then I'd love to see what is.

"Oh I see." I'm hoping he couldn't sense my slight disappointment to his 'just friends.' Comment. I mean did you not see how upset Ryan Reynolds was in just friends?

Just then I hear him snicker, I don't see how my embarrassment is funny.

"What is so funny?"

"Because of course it's a date, and I don't want it to be at McDonalds. I was joking, but glad to see how that effects you."

"You know a month ago I would've trash talked you. You would've have been sobbing not laughing."

"Well you're right about one thing." His voice deepened.

"And what's that?"

"You've changed. You've gone from this mean girl who's obsessed with herself to a maturing adult, who happens to have a few qualities of a spoiled teenager, but more so the maturing adult." That was sweet, and yet insulting all at the same time.

"I'll see you tonight Stefan."

And just then we hung up.

"Elena! Are you gonna just watch us pack or you gonna help us pack your apartment?" The emphasis on the your, guilted me into going back inside and packing.

I'd pack, but my mind clearly wasn't there, it was in what to wear, say, do.

I was sitting on the couch packing up vases and other decor item when I blatantly said, "I lied, earlier. To you guys, Stefan offered me a place to stay until I figure some stuff out."

"Wait what?" The expression on Bonnie's face was nothing short of shock. I guess I should've expected that, I've only known him for a month.

"Elena did you hit your head, or have you just gone full blown insane?" Bonnie had gone completely silent but Caroline didn't mind questioning my mental state.

"Look my parents won't take me in, and It was too late to get a dorm. Then I was going to ask one of you but I've been so mean to Caroline I couldn't do that, then you Bonnie well you're already giving me money. Plus this will help with the whole date Stefan get money."

"I wanted to wreck his reputation not get you shacked up with him." I don't see why Bonnie hates Stefan so much, what's not to like?

"What is so wrong with Stefan Bonnie, what could he have possibly done to make you hate him this much?" I ran my fingers through my hair, I never really cared what he did all I cared about was the money until now.

"It's not him, it's his father." She finally let us in, on a detail.

"Tell more." I pleaded.

"Okay." Bonnie said as she sat down.

If you are still here and still interested in this book I will be updating more frequently because summer is coming which means school is ending therefore long days with nothing to do.
