I Love Her

I watch her curled up like a a kitten on our red couch. Her hands clutch the book she's so fascinated with. Her eyes flicker across the page and her lips part breathing out the words as she went along.
Leaning against the wall I fold my arms tighter around my chest. I have no clue why she loves the room to be so cold. Though I don't question it. She looks to be at peace, so that makes me at peace too.
Oblivious to the word. Sometimes I wish I could be that way too. Just to have a good page turner book, feel the heat of the small fire in the fireplace, and just forget it all. Sometimes.
Valuable is just one of the many beautiful words she is to me. I can go on, but that would take far too long. Though if she wanted, I'd tell her.
Every time she leans back and her wrists bend forward, I know she's stiff. She stretches and lets out a small yawn before looking up at me.
"How long have you been standing there?" Her voice drops like honey as she takes my breath away with her innocent giggle.
"Eh, not long," I reply caught off guard.
She pats the spot next to her. "Come sit."
I sit close enough to have her cherry                          blossom scent run through my veins. She      snuggles against me resting her head on my shoulder, leg intertwined with mine as she resumes her reading. I slowly run my fingers through her golden locks. As I bring my fingers up the sun catches a glimpse making her hair glow.
Racing heart tempts to beat out of my chest as she looks up at me with her evergreen eyes. I don't understand how she can still capture me like this, after all this time. Actually, I don't know a lot about her, but all I know is...well, read straight down.
