He's the tear in my heart, take me higher, than I've ever been.

Light flooded into the room as the lights flashed on, just adding to the sun which was coming through a small bar window that was close to the ceiling. Josh opened his sweet, honey colored eyes before eyeing Tyler who was still cuddled to his chest, his mouth parted open slightly as he let out small, even breaths. He shook Tyler gently, watching his brown eyes open with confusion.
The feeling was euphoric to wake up next to Tyler- but Josh just shrugged it off. It couldn't be anything, or so he thought.
"M' tired."
His voice cracked slightly and his voice was rough and gravelly, unlike it normally was. Josh's heart sped up as the boy looked up with doe-like eyes, giving Josh a small pout. The door swung open to reveal Brendon, and Tyler just snuggled closer to Josh in attempts to keep him near.
He was in heaven.
Cuddled into Josh's side, watching how the boy dorkily smiled with his dimples, his honey colored eyes in the light. It was all completely serene.
"Breakfast's ready, lovebirds."
Tyler groaned at his words and moved his head into the crook of Josh's neck. Brendon chuckled quietly and left them alone.
"Tyler,"
Josh lifted his arm over Tyler, making him whine in protest. Josh left Tyler on his bed, heart throbbing at the way Josh threw off his shirt with no grace at all- he struggled to get it past his head, making Tyler burst into fits of giggles. Josh groaned and threw a shirt over his head, before pulling down his pajama bottoms and finding clean jeans.
Tyler's eyes widened and he covered his eyes, laughter calming down as he didn't want to get attached to Josh. He felt like he needed to stop this, no more cuddling, no more friendly gestures. He didn't want to be loved. He felt like he didn't deserve to be loved.
He uncovered his eyes slightly to see Josh was fully dressed and now brushing through his messy blue hair. He winced as he hit knots in the mess, making Tyler smile gently. Tyler climbed out of bed and quickly changed, but not without Josh's eyes on him the whole time.
"Stop staring,"
Tyler's voice was dark and almost threatening in a way. Josh turned and blushed, nervously tapping his foot on the floor as he started to hum a tune to calm himself down. He tapped his fingers on the dresser carelessly.
"Stop tapping, Josh."
He grabbed Josh's hand and stopped his fingers from dancing upon the wood, making Josh's heart beat in his chest. He wanted to kiss that boy right then and there, but of course he didn't have the courage to do so. Instead he nodded, swallowing thickly as he moved out of the bedroom and into the cafeteria. Tyler followed behind him quickly, his brown hair a mess atop his head. They sat the furthest away from each other, making Brendon quirk a brow at them both.
"You were just cuddling and now you're distancing yourself? Relationships these days,"
Tyler almost snapped at him, but Josh spoke up quickly.
"It was just a friendly gesture."
Rolling his brown eyes, Tyler took a big bite from his apple and tried to not seem irritated. He wanted to be held by Josh and kissed, but at the same time he wished Josh would leave his life. He was a mess, and he couldn't think straight with his mind going a mile an hour.
