Parker's POV
The doorbell went off suddenly, making me anxious. I ran towards the door, opening it hesitantly. There was a note on the front porch.
FiRsT aSsIgNmEnT
Go InTo ThE wOoDs ToNiGhT. BrInG NoOne.
I immediately started to dial Jordyn's number. Just as I was about to press the call button, I stopped.
Should I call him?
The note did say bring no one...
Mae's POV
I was stripped of my pride, my dignity. The figure left me with terror, leaving his mark on me.
"Did you enjoy my present?" Catherine's words kept echoing in my head, while she had watched it happen.
I felt mortified; my whole body was shaking, actually, it still is. I can't stand without falling to the ground.
Catherine had me chained to the wall, it was painful. She watched me while he took my pride, laughing.I can't stand it here right now. I want to go home. I want to see Parker.
Parker's POV
It's 10:51.
I've been in the woods for a few hours; nothing's happened. I kept checking to see if I was in the right place, but i forgot they didn't even give me a certain "woods" to go to.
It was cold.
All I could feel was my left hand, everything else was probably frost bit by now.
I thought of Mae; the torture she was probably going through. I want her back. I shouldn't have said what I did. We could've been happy, she'd be in my sight and I wouldn't have left her.
It's all my fault.
Suddenly, I got a call from Catherine.
"Help!I found Mae! She's in the woods next to McDonald's!"
Then she hang up. I jumped into my car and sped down.
Mae's POV
"Now then, he should be here soon." Catherine paced across the floor, waiting for Parker to arrive."Why are you leading him here? He's just going to figure out it's you anyways."
She walked up close to my face, with a blade. I breathed sharply, trying to restrain myself from it."That's the beauty of it all. He's going to think I got kidnapped too. He's going to see you holding a blade, and you're going to enjoy it. Unless, you want to be shot."
"How, if you're chained up against a wall?"
"Because I have eyes everywhere," she said with a smirk. "There's no way out, you're stuck."I slowly dug my nails into my skin, trying to get loose from these chains. I noticed that they weren't attached to the walls right. So if I move a certain way, they'll eventually come off.
Parker's POV
I pulled up, running into the woods, suddenly seeing little bits of lights. I sprinted down, seeing Mae, holding a knife with Cathrine tied up."Help, please!"
Stunned, I saw Mae, starting to cry.
"Mae," I said, walking towards her. She restrained herself, crying so hard she fell to the floor.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
"You're okay, I'm not letting anything happen to you," I said."What are you doing," Catherine yelled. "She's been torturing me the whole time I've been here! Aren't you going to help me?!"
I looked back at Mae, who started to look to the ground. Tears hit the ground hard, letting me know something was wrong.
"Mae?"She started talking backwards, it was our secret language.
translation*"Help me," Mae said, without hesitating. "She is trying to kill me. Save me..."
