Parker's POV
I turned, trying to think of an idea. Fear hit me hard in the chest. Mae's been stuck here, with Catherine trying to kill her.
I tried thinking quickly, I didn't need to waste anytime. Suddenly, I saw cameras hidden in the corner."Hold on, I'm getting the cops, I just left my phone in the car. Mae, you're coming with me!"
"Why!" Catherine looked at me, trying to look sympathetic. It made me furious with anger. My blood rate raised, making my stomach curl in knots."So she doesn't attack you! I'll be back!"
I grabbed Mae, holding her close to my body. We walked towards my car, I tried looking violent to her, to convince Catherine.Soon we reached the car. I checked around, seeing if any cameras were around, thankfully none.
I grabbed Mae and kissed her softly, letting my lips brush against hers. She broke down in tears, breaking the kiss. I held her tightly to me, letting her sob on my shoulders.
"I love you too." She lifted her head, matching my eyes. A small, weak smile appeared on her fragile face.
"Don't move!"
I turned, seeing Catherine holding a gun up.
"What do you want now," I yelled."The plan was to let you live Parker, but you screwed that up! Burn in hell!"
A shot was fired.Catherine started to fall down, her chest gushing blood. I turned, seeing a black figure holding a gun up.
"Forget everything," the figure said with a husky voice.
They ran off, leaving Mae and I alone in the woods.
"Let's get you home, " I said, kissing her forehead.
*after the car ride...
Mae's POV
"I really just want to go home right now," I said, watching Parker pull in at his house.
"Oh, okay. Let me call your mom to pick you up."
"No, I will."
"Okay, are you alright?"
"Yeah, just... tired."
I was lying. I just... I didn't want to be around him right now. I wanted to be alone. All by myself. I 'called' my mom and then walked home.Once home, I walked inside and went to take a bath.
The water popped up, hitting me softly in the face. I sat down in it, letting the hot water run against my skin. I ran my fingers along my arm, feeling the scars that wouldn't leave my sides. A single tear slid down my cheek, running down to my chin and falling ever so delicately in the water, making a popping noise. I sat in for awhile, letting my surroundings slowly disappear.
Soon I got out, seeing a note on my bed.
I saved you
its your turn
xoxo
I turned, seeing no one around me. I quickly crumpled the paper and threw it in the trash can. Suddenly, a piece of paper flew at the back of my head. I looked into the corner of the room, seeing a silhouette of a shadow. I opened the crumpled paper, revealing yet another note.
dont ignore me
i get angry
I looked around, finding a pen on the dresser. I quickly wrote 'what do you want' and threw it in the corner. I waited for a second. Nothing came. As soon as I started to walk away, a piece of paper hit me softly in the leg.
no.
im saving it for later.
xoxo
Confused, I got in some sweatpants and turned on the tv.
I started watching Scream Queens, when my stomach started to curl in knots. I ignored it, until I felt a burning sensation start coming up my throat. I started sprinting towards the bathroom, barely making it. I barfed, feeling dreadful.
Afterwards I got up, feeling my stomach cramp. Obviously, I thought I was on my period. So I went to the store and picked up some tampons.
Once I got back inside, I went to my bedroom to take a nap. I saw a note on the floor. I picked it up, seeing the words "you'll need to check this. xoxo". Suddenly, multiple pregnancy tests spilled across the floor. Confusion filled my head, making me anxious. I lifted one up, deciding to give it a try. Since, apparently I do owe them a favor.
After I did the test, I didn't care to check the results. I mean, I only had, you know, one time. And it was forcefully. It would be impossible for anything to happen.
Eventually, it was 1:00 in the morning. I decided to go to sleep.
4:00 in the morning
A sudden bang filled my room, wakening me. I saw the pregnancy test scatter the floor again, and suddenly i saw one hanging on a thread. I walked towards it, my hands shaking. I looked at it for one second.
I screamed. My whole life scattered before me. My whole body started to tremble, fear overcame me. I fell onto the ground, a stream falling from my eyes. I then saw a note laying with the pregnancy tests.
im not through yet.
xoxo
